@RicMansur I only use 2 decks for the most part. Having the additional decks can be useful though depending on what kind of music you're mixing. With techno/minimal/techhouse you can use all 4 decks and looping to create some really interesting mixes.
I still cannot figure out if you use the slider on the right of the track to move the BPM, does it change the pitch as well? If you change the speed of the track so that it syncs with the master clock, will that change the pitch as well. This information is critical if you are using Harmonic Mixing because if you change the speed of the track you are bringing in, it could mess up the key of the track.
@bizcad Yes. By changing the bpm you will change the pitch. If I recall correctly, if you change the bpm by more than 3% you change its key. That said, you can use Traktor's key lock if you're changing the tempo drastically.
hey peter so you never use more than 2 decks or sample decks? do you find any use for them?
