In fact, I do find it quite hard when reading poetry (in whichever language) to concentrate on both the metrics and the sense, but I prefer a purely metrical to a slushy and overdrawn reading of (con)textual units.
However, I deliberately omitted the stop you are referring to, in a pathetic (in both senses) attempt to reconcile the metrics with the sense by abruptly jumping over from 'fallacis' to the wailing exclamation 'miseri!' Poor execution, though.

you read the lines but not the sense. behind the " nescius aurae fallacis" there should be stop. by the way youre meter is perfect.
