Ok I've got one comment left, haha. I just wanted to add that I'm not taking a position on this drama itself. And I'm not attacking Zen. He's been a friend for a long time and can handle me pointing out an angle he may have overlooked :)

I love you, Zen. But in all fairness, saying that you are going to be talking about someone during your show, and they are going to be discussed by many people, and that people are going to take positions for or against them... sort of forces them into attending the show. Doesn't it? What choice do they have? They declined your invitation, but ended up attending. That's probably why.

I think you've been very mature about this entire situation. You've just overlooked how you forced their hand here, and I don't think you want that. "I'm going to host a show where we are all going to be talking about you and pitching in opinions about your actions. You can attend and defend yourself, or...not. The choice is yours". That's not usually your style but it did sort of come off that way. Again, I love you and I know you mean no harm XoXo.

I don't see it that way. We were going to talk about a subject and they were going to be a part of the subject. I let them know so they "could" respond if they like. I think that is the honorable thing to do rather than not tell them and have peopl talk behind their back.

This is really messed up and sad that these parties involved are making this much of a big deal about their dog being on video here. You ALMOST have it.. Nalts is a minor player in this. It's about Smooth not respecting the wishes of the dog owners. Nalts had no creative or production control in this situation. Kevin do NOT use/post the video.

Hi Zen! Hope your show went well! It's an important topic to discuss, so I'm glad you've brought it up. I've viewed a lot of the vids in relation to this particular example, and the conlusion i've come to is that it's much better not to post something if you know it's hurting someone AND they've asked you not to, and there's no compelling public interest that outweighs their hurt. And I don't think it matters if others regard it as trivial-the hurt is in the eye of the beholder!

Its not about participating, you posted there video when they asked you not to, then you talked about the ethics of posting videos that should not be posted.

The Video and what happened in it are important to the discussion. So, yes, I declined their request. You may not find that ethical, but the show is on what IS ETHICAL and what is Lawful. They are often two different things.

I had to go see the video after watching this one to put this all into perspective. Seems like its making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I could see if it was a human. The dog is not effected by being video taped.

Anyone who is upset because a dog was posted on youtube is just being stupid. I understand that some people don't want to be posted online, and thats ok, but complaining that your dog is online is just being DUMB!

Sure you have the right to post that video. No one questions that. The question, however, is this: if you know a video is sensitive and hurtful to a person, and you can help that person by not showing that video on YouTube, why wouldn't you do that?

Just because you have the right to hurt someone's feelings, doesn't MAKE it right...

Hey hon, let's also keep in the show about the fact that so many people are discussing it because people love drama. Of course, I am responding and watching this because I like drama too. But it has snowballed more than it should, imo.

The lil Miss "drama" is only a small part of the show. It was however, the catalyst for the subject. I agree we should stick to facts and not theories. I am trying to be as fair as I can to all parties.
