Walt Disney would surely come from his grave if he knew these big lawnmowers were running round his themepark. They could have made attempts to make it more realistic. I believe the sounds are from The DRRs CK Holliday only without the bad case of rod clank.
nice, a locomotive named Walter E. Disney, a nice tributem to the man himself, walt disney, I never knew there was another walter E. Disney locomotive existing. It looks very beautiful, but not as beautiful as the Walter E Disney locomotive down at Walt Disney World in florida.
for a minute it looked like it was real steam, until I heard the diesel motor. They are built by severn lamb in the UK, who also builds steam engines. At least you can hear the chuffing sound.
@pennyf9 those diesels are state of that art, when it comes to steam out line, you can't get closer to a real steam in a fake than these. They should have painted the motor block trucks black, and painted the motor block wheels red to hide the fact it's a diesel even more so, and cover the vents with fake wood loads. Also fake water towers would have been more convincing, but they're pretty nice for steam outlines.
Yeah you're right, they are fake! I wish HK Disneyland do use a real live-steam trains! I always thinking will HK going to have a steam railway like in UK. But that's impossible, because most people in HK are bus fans instead of rails or they have lack of steam knowledge!
@Yanamation also unlike Japan, in China they are unaware of Walt's Passion for steam trains, and to them steam is also ancient technology, especially in big cities like Hong Kong, Beijing, XIan, Chong Quing, and Shanghai where technology is advancing.
