this is amazing i played it on my trumpet for all state. and i chose to play it for solo and ensemble and it can only be played on flugle horn and thats fine and all but the hardest part is the high b on a flugle horn and i have tried reaching it but its so difficult. On trumpet i play it fine but i cant seem to get it on my flugle ( any suggestions)
This video has been so helpful for me, I'm performing this for my solo/ensemble this year and I have put this on my iPod and have been using it as a musical reference and it is so useful to refer to this for when I need help with my solo.
This song was immortalized, or popularized if you will, in the 1980 PBS series COSMOS, episode 13 "Who Speaks For Earth?". The imagery, narrative and music fit together perfectly. It's here on Youtube. I encourage you to seek it out.
I thought you did a great job, I would have enjoyed hearing a larger contrast in your dynamics. It could just be that its compressed for the recording though.

You actually managed to ruin a piece of music by those annoying bubble comments.
On a side note, I have seldom heard the Prayer of Saint Gregory played at this tempo. That is refreshing in itself.
