some great games, almost all of the ones i own are the best first party ones, but i also have a couple multiplatform games. i play them all on the wii though. only reason i see to get a gamecube is if i ever find a gameboy player, i'd find it a lot more enjoyable to play GBA games on a tv screen than the GBA itself (or i could find a DS with the slot once they become dirt cheap)

The Controller's Analogs Have to be centered when turning on, because the game would think the direction the stick points to will be centered, and the character will kep moving in one direction nonstop. It's too bad Budokai 3 and Infinite world were ps2 exclusives. I actually kind of like ps2's library a little bit better (Budokai 1,2, and 3.....budokai tenkaichi 1,2, and 3... even Final fantasy! I wanted FFX&FFXII on the gamecube, but NOOOOOOOO)

Aside from it being the first system I bought for myself. The gamecube has had the best run of titles and replay value than anything else I have played. Games like Super Monkey ball and Mario Sunshine will always be part of my childhood.

Tbh GQ isn 't bad at all. But if you compare it to the impact N64 made and the Snes along with the NES I can imagine people are like: ok wait, this isn't.. good. Although GQ indeed has very good titles it also has very bad titles. Anyhow - it is a great console and almost unbreakable - only thing that sucks is the memory card for me that is. They are nowadays very hard to get.

Actually, I believe the Gamecube still has a purpose. I don't think you can use the Wii to go into the Gamecube Memory Cards... So you can't remove or transfer files between cards. I could be mistaken, though...

It had a great library of games too, but again most were hindered by the 3D gimmick, which wasn't even that bad, it worked, but people just couldn't stop bitching about the headaches, which even modern 3D technology still gives.

Wow. I LOVED all the music choices. I'm a huge fan of Nintendo's music these days (and much other video game songs, don't get me wrong), but I was instantly able to recognize all of these Gamecube masterpieces (and from other consoles).

But the music credits are wrong. The music is from "Super Mario World" and "Super Paper Mario". But I loved those music choices... and especially Kirby Air Ride's Checker Knights (actually from Hoshi no Kaabii) and Baten Kaitos' The True Mirror.

I preferred n64 over the ps1 and saturn yet n64 came a distant second, i liked gamecube more than ps2, xbox and dc yet gamecube flopped. This gen i prefer 360 over wii, ps3 yet wii is a big sucess. It seems if i like a nintendo system it fails and if i dislike it then it does well, weird ain't it?

I think Kwing said it best. GameCube's failure lies within Nintendo's management and then-president Hiroshi Yamauchi. Not only was it poorly marketed, but they were not very friendly with third-party developers during the N64 era. Plus the president at the time dissed Square for going with Sony and he burned a lot bridges for RPGs.

@1For3The3Win7 The games I listed are certainly not knockoffs of other games. Maybe the cheap shovelware that nobody cares about, but certainly not what I listed. Those were highly reviewed games, not just by critics, but by gamers who have played them. Even I enjoyed them a lot.

And about that last part, fair enough, but how would a game like No More Heroes work with a standard controller when you're mostly hacking and slashing with the Wiimote? Even the PS3 version supports PlayStation Move.

Gamecube Forever. i mean like last week i buyed harry potter 7 part 1 i finsihed it tried again got bored turned of my xbox. But with my Gamecube (which i havent sold and never gonna do) i could play ''wind waker'' over and over again in NEVER EVER EVER GOT TIRED OF IT. Well thats why old consoles are better new consoles is only ohhh better graphics how fantastic but the old ones like GC. Leaves marks like all ur adventures in zelda. well thats my opinion on whats.
