The Blessed sacraments and regular 'Sunday' mass are the best foundations of Catholic formation. A good dose of scripture reading and research also helps; ultimatly living by the Word and example of Jesus and his saints is the the best way!
Btw if you read about John Paul II he absolutely loved the Way. Loved it!!! Personally, I have been to 7 world youth days. I have heard John Paul speak in 6 of them and he has nothing but great things to say.

I was brought up in the the church in a traditional Catholic manner. For many years I had friends who were neocats and was interested in their community...eventualy I decided to undergo catechesis and became a founding member of the local seconed community. I enjoyed many of the activities of the community but always doubted some of their teachings...eventualy I went back to the regular mother church.
Things cange, also in the way..the vatican Congregation pass the status, but they changed something, and it's for good! Now we say the Nicean Creed! ^^

I am in a community in New York City. My mother is from Austria!!! I just got married last year and now we have a son. My wife is also in the way. We grew up together and now we are married. God has a sense of humor.

keep praying you deluded prat...the catechumenal 'way' is a travesty of Catholic teaching, ie, they only go to a real regular sunday mass when ordered by the vatican, they do not say the Creed of Nicea, their sabbath is the jewish saturday...need I go on. Come back to the mother church it may not save your life but it will safeguard your soul.

Tha Neocat way is not the only one, a person can choice how to follow God considering the results those ways help him/her to arrive at.. I suppose its not the only dodgy sect to get under the radar. I guess you're right that we all make our individual choices but the neocats doctrines are deeply unsound. The Blessed sacraments and regular 'Sunday' mass are the best foundations of Catholic formation. A good dose of scripture reading and research also helps; ultimatly living by the Word and example of Jesus and his saints is the the best way!

Btw if you read about John Paul II he absolutely loved the Way. Loved it!!! Personally, I have been to 7 world youth days. I have heard John Paul speak in 6 of them and he has nothing but great things to say.

The neocats are a sect by any definition...it preys on vulnerable people and fills their heads with unorthodox christianity as expressed by the charismatic cult leaders Carmen and Kiko. JPII may have flirted with them but many bishops refuse to tolerate them (I wonder why? The neocats NEVER say the Nicean Creed in their saturday night services or in any of their other events...this is truth!

I was brought up in the the church in a traditional Catholic manner. For many years I had friends who were neocats and was interested in their community...eventualy I decided to undergo catechesis and became a founding member of the local seconed community. I enjoyed many of the activities of the community but always doubted some of their teachings...eventualy I went back to the regular mother church.

The neocat way is still only a probationary movement and its doctrines are seen as unsound by many in the Vatican. It was forced to compromise with the Vatican ie neocats 'have' to mingle with the common Catholics at normal mass at least once a month...whats wrong with the normal Eucharistic celebration?? Nothing, that is why neocats are dangerous...

my dear catholicmate, maybe u try attending a eurcharistic celebration before saying anything? sunday mass goers may have faith, but the way helps to deepen it. that's all. don't go against us when we're are all the same! Roman Catholics! Anyway, u can't have anything against us since the late pope, John Paul the 2nd approved of it. So, come join for a eurcharist! the way really taught me humility. =)

De Neo Katechumenale weg bestaat uit een groep oerconservatieve oprechte katholieke gelovigen. Ze richtten zich met name op jongeren en gezinnen, doch ouderen zijn ook welkom. Echt opbouwend om onder mensen van het NK in hun gemeenschappen te zijn.
Conservatisme op een moderne wijze, lijkt soms net de pinkstergemeente (de geest...)
