@MultiBaldEagle You're right, I much prefer listening to his live recordings of today than with CCR, his voice has aged like a fine spirit, which cannot be said for others who often age like fruit.
I have been a fan of ccr and john fogerty for a long time and I like the way he never leave his roots musically like many others do just to satisfy the fucking recordcompanies.
My favorite Fogerty solo album, The first BlueRidge Rangers album. god bless him for being so strong for so long, anyone else would have given up years ago. If you can find it "BlueRidge Rangers album" need to take a listen. listen to the new one as well
Este viejo tema me trae recuerdos de guateques de universitarios de mediados de los años de los setenta; cuando eramos jóvenes y felices; esta versión es mejor que la original del hombre orquesta John Fogerty (Blue Ride Rangers).
Man can these guyz jam! John Fogerty's tha best there is when it comes to havin' music that'll withstand the test of time! Even after he embarked on his solo career upon parting from CCR, he's doing what he's always done best, pumping out the hits, still! Jason Mowery - u rock dude! And the drummer kix butt with his solid beatz! Luv this tune, we sing it as 1 of our cover tunez when we do tha country sets. Blue Ridge Rangers forever! You tha man John, you tha man! Long Live John Fogerty! :)
Oh guys! I was at John's concert in Lucca, Italy, on 26 july...Really great, the band too.
I always listened to CCR, but when I met Jonh live my life changed. I came back to my real feelings and life. With some kind of boots and gears, and harp and guitar too.

I always listened to CCR, but when I met Jonh live my life changed. I came back to my real feelings and life. With some kind of boots and gears, and harp and guitar too.
I got the chance to meet John twice at the House of Blues in Hollywood. I waited backstage to meet him. He was a very very nice man...very humble. He signed my CCR music book and posed for a picture with me!
You know, I twittered him about how excited I was about the new Blue Ridge Rangers album and he twittered me back and said thanks for the support! That's the kinda guy he is...he seems to be in a real solid, happy place in his life right now...and I say that's GREAT!
I got to play with Jason several times between festivals around home and in nashville once. He can absolutely shred that fiddle!!!! Great to see him again. Keep it up Jason
I had "The Blue Ridge Rangers" LP around 35 years back with these songs, lost it and miss those songs. John Fogerty live and 35 years older is close in quality to the studio here the band is better., this is good.THANKS
Looking back at my high school days of the 70's Fogerty and CCR was one my favortie bands. My sister had the ALBUM Cosmos Factory when I was about 12 and I must have listened to it 10,000 times. I'm still Rocking to the 70's classics and CCR is still one of my favorties. THANKS FOR THE MEMORY POST !
The Blue Ridge Ranger album from 1973 was a one man band projeckt. This new album project, finds Fogerty backed by an array of stellar outside players. Among those who participated in the new Blue Ridge Rangers sessions at Village Recorders in Los Angeles were Buddy Miller, Dennis Crouch, Jay Bellerose, Greg Leisz, Jason Mowery, Jodie Kennedy, Kenny Aronoff and Hunter Perrin. In the studio, Fogerty worked with fellow producers T Bone Burnett and Lenny Waronker on the project.
Thanks for your answer ! But, are the same songs recorded for yhe "New Blue Rangers "album ?? BRMB was on the '73 album and this version it will be on the new album ????
The album will feature Bruce Springsteen and Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles, on Rick Nelson's "Garden Party." Other songs Fogerty will perform include John Prine's "Paradise," John Denver's "Back Home Again," Buck Owens' "I Don't Care (Just As Long As You Love Me)" and his own "Change in the Weather," originally recorded for his 1986 album, "Eye of the Zombie
El35o I live in Toronto too. A little older than you, in my fifties. I agree with you about the other music being garbage. But this video of Fogerty, man oh man. Did you see him in concert?
When _I_ was young(er), around age 18 or so, EVERYONE in my high school was listening to 80s pop garbage or metal or Led Zeppelin.
I was in old record stores, hunting down Creedence albums after I found _Bayou Country_ in my stepfather's collection. So, there I was, 18, and listening to this song at school ... and NOBODY understood that.
Haha, they still don't, but that'
s what happens when you live in Toronto, Canada, the most un-musical place in the world!
The album cover had 5 pictures of John standing in the shadows on the ridge of a mountain with different instruments portraying a band, of course you couldn't make out the faces of the five of him. Also his name did not appear on the album cover. I'm sure he had plans of eventually forming a new band at the time but it didn't happen. The song he is playing here "Blue Ridge Mountain Blues" is the opening track of side 1of "The Blue Ridge Rangers" album that came out in 1973.
Just in case there are some of you that don't know, after the break up of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty's 1st project was a solo album of Country classic covers where he played all the instruments and sang everything. Maybe you remember his version of Hank Williams Jambalaya, Anyway the album was called "The Blue Ridge Rangers".
Brilliant
