  • A Douglas! A Douglas!

    Jamais Arriere

  • I can't help but get mad when someone says I'm wearing a skirt, so I just punch them in the face and go "are ya daft!?"

  • Reasons to wear a kilt and comebacks for the fags who make "nice skirt" comments? Just want to hear some ideas because scottsmen are fucking hilarious usually do just want to hear some ideas.....

  • Where did you get the sporran?

    Thanks!

  • please don't all think I'm being rude but no one is a direct descendant of any Scottish Clan, you probably have Scottish relations but even people born and raised one generation after another here in Scotland can call them selves a member of any Clan, Millions of people moved about and in and out of Scotland working for and with certain clans and next thing they are all clan members. I am not saying this to spoil any one persons idea of their own heritage but believe me its a money spinner!

  • what a strong Scottish accent you have!!!!!

  • @coolerking6 dont need to be scottish to wear a kilt ;)

  • @warpyable no and you dont need to be German to wear lederhosen but why would you wear someone elses traditional dress.

  • @coolerking6 because kilts are sexy? And awesome. And have optimum ball freedom?

  • @warpyable cant argue with that.

  • Nifty.

  • i just got me a douglas... but i have to admit i'm not of a celtic bloodline.

i lived in scotland for almost a year, and got to wear a formal get up for an dinner, and have been trying to get one for a while since getting back home. since they're not cheap, i was able to pick up a second hand one recently, so i am dubbing myself an honorary douglas :)

i just can't wait now for an occasion to wear it out!

  • lol in a mc duagal

  • I'm a direct descendant of Clan Douglas too! We even have a cemetery a few miles from my house where some of my Douglas ancestors who immigrated here 300-400 years ago were buried. We go there after every Douglas reunion.

Where did you buy your Douglas kilt?

  • Up the MacArthurs!

  • By the way, ladies: you can rock your clan tartan too. Just get yourself a long kilted skirt and a tartan sash. Just make sure that, if you are not the clan chief's wife or the wife of a regiment commander, your sash goes over your right shoulder, not your left. I have a MacArthur sash I wear on Burns Night as well as St. Patrick's Day (it involves a lot of green) and Tartan Day (April 6) and St. Andrew's Day (Nov. 30th - St. Andrew being Scotland's patron saint).

  • I've seen what your talking about in Welsh tartan centers home page. looks pretty nice, I

m sure that of couse there are Scottish companys doing then as well. I'ts a bit like the dress that Moria Andersens used to wear on tv in the old days !

  • cool kilt collection...the solid color kilts have been

    getting popular.

    im starting a sporran collection!

    :o)

  • theres a DANISH tartan ! Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is the youngest of four children born to John and Henrietta Donaldson. Her parents emigrated from Scotland to Australia in 1963. The Danish tartan has been designed and woven as a gift to the people of Denmark. the tartan combine the colours in the flags of Denmark and Scotland ( Scottish World Tartan Register No. 3129 ) kilt was specially made for Prince Christian to wear when he attains the age of three,

  • Not only is there a Danish tartan, there's one for many different countries, including the US, and there's even tartans for each branch of the US military. My boyfriend is considering getting a kilt in the US Army tartan, since he served for 3 years with the 82nd combat engineers.

  • A man in a kilt is a man and a half!

I have several of my Clan tartan kilts (MacKintosh) as well as Blackwatch and several others, including USMC Desert digital and US Army digital camo. Wife loves me wearing my kilts,, I keep thinking I'll come home one day to find she has thrown out all my work pants!!!

If you are of Scot heritage or not,, Wear A Kilt, you wont regret it!

  • i am from the largest and strongest clan in scotland the Clan Campbell and i only have one of my clans tartans and i love to wear my blackwatch kilt and it is good to other people wearing a kilt with pride

  • Us highland folk don't think the campbells are the strongest clan in scotland, but the English love you as they used your clan to fight the scots, Up the Mcdonalds.

  • I think i see an Xmarks kilt pin if im not mistaken, Right on

  • another person who wheres a kilt with pride clan campbell

  • If you are going to wear the belt then dont, do not wear the sporran as well.... either belt or sporran not both. Also why the coloured hose?

  • what are you talking about? you should always wear a belt with asporran. and coloured hose is traditional. swhite or cream hose may even offend some people. diced and hose that compliments your kilt are the "propar" ways to dress...although i accept white hose as much as coloured or diced.

  • just before you made that metrosexual commet I said, WOW! a man that can color cordinate? HE..HE..HE

  • Kilts rock!!!

I'm a Lynch but my Scottish connection is Montgomery..

    my ancestors.

don't really care too much for their Tartan though so I tend to wear just what I like or the Irish County Meath Tartan. (where Great-gandpa was from)
