  • I think this is one of the most beautifully played and cleanest renditions of Recuerdos de la Alhambra ever existed. Oh's notes are so clean. He's a true classical master guitarist.

  • he made a masterpeice out of an amazing song. i love his feeling and rythem (tempo). he is not just playing by his fingers, its his soul that plays this song. AMAAAAAAAZING!

  • Don't know who he is, but this guy is good. Very good. You really can feel it listening to him play.

  • das lied lässt uns auf das unendliche schauen.

    wunderschön

  • Very well done and musical, emotional and expressive, as Mr. Tarrega would have wanted it played!

  • la alambrada es mararavillosa

    i bella com una cistella

  • 9 pessoas esqueceram a alhambra.

  • like this one a lot

  • Bello!

  • Um dos melhores violonistas que eu já vi!

  • is he korean?

  • Damn that's good, very beautifully played.

  • kitch

  • Excellent.

  • Why do all Korean people are good at guitar??? (if u know Sungha Jung, u know what I'm talking about!!!!)

This guy is the reason why i started learning classical guitar

  • @thechopstickman My bet is that its to do with a far more focused way of life. Not just a 'try and give up' attitude that we westerners tend to adopt! Anyone can do it given the time, patience and focus :)

  • @aammcc1234

Haha. I think it is because we are introduced to musical instruments in much earlier than westerners because of our strong educational values. Every student in Korea has taken music lessons at least once in their life. And in Korea, it is much easier and cheaper to take lessons because there are alot of music schools in Korea. I remember taking piano lessons in grade one.

  • @MUSlC1213 Well there we are I wasn't too far off was I :) I think it's a really good thing that music is introduced at such an early age. It'd stop a lot of trouble if we did that over here, youngsters would have something of value to concentrate on rather than wondering the streets bored thinking that alchohol and upsetting other people is the only way out.

  • @aammcc1234

Yeah I agree that everybody should be learn to play an instrument at least once in their life. They might be missing a great chance to enjoy something in their life life and bring emotions to other people through music. I can honestly say that I would feel miserable more frequently if I haven't been introduced to the guitar.

  • SUONATA BENISSIMO,USERO' QUESTA VERSIONE COME PUNTO DI RIFERIMENTO, LA VOGLIO SUONARE COSI' E GIUSTAMENTE NON CORRENDO COME FANNO MOLTI PER SHOW OFF, BRAVO, ONE OF THE MOST LOVING, CHARMING VERSION OF THIS TIMELESS PIECE, BRAVO..

  • bravo my son, bravo

  • yesss hes defo feeeelin thiss...

one of the best versions i ve seen on youtube...

  • my uncle used to play this good, he play like this to get girl, but now he barely can play it

  • Brilliant! Excellent playing there.

  • OH WOW. Sweet

  • then i first saw him i though he was like 12-14 ... but still amazing vid

  • Un sogno, una delizia, non ho parole, grazie di cuore, bellissima esecuzione.

  • Virtuoso--! el mejore--!!

  • Without VIBRATO it's dead.

    Spanish MUSIC needs vibrato.

  • @Rexicano

but the main of this piece is tremolo isnt it? If you add vibrato will it be heard? And wont the tremolo cover the vibrato?

  • Vibrato at it's best is very subtle.

It often is not even noticed when applied in a subtle way.

    But, to answer you;

    One CAN have both.

And it's really needed in Romantic music...badly.

He has none at all. Too dry and technical for me.

And the MAIN point of this piece is MELODY and emotion.

The tremolo is there to underline the melody.

  • It is simple amazable the way he plays the guitar.

  • he plays fantastic. Bravo !!!

  • I think this is one of the best version of la Alhambra out there. Just about as good as it gets.

  • Tremolo like this is difficult to master.

  • very good...perfect tremolo

  • this chinaman can play

  • Korean*

  • u realy don't know about guitar !

  • Did he put some other effects into his recording?? it sounds like being in a dome...

  • excellent playing i wish i would do it like him

  • Nicely done.. ;)

  • Awesome!!!!! It sounds exactly like the song from the CD I bought a few years ago. alot of feeling and excellent timing.

  • Ottimo veramente.

Qualcuno sa dirmi che chitarra è quella che suona?

    What guitar is he playng?

  • Quite Excellent!

  • Bravo - listen to the music's expressivity for feeling, not the facial expressions necessarily. As for Yepes, he kills this piece, playing it way too fast to evoke any feeling in me I usually associate with this great masterpiece. Though I like Yepes a lot, generally.

  • i think every musicians love music and do play with feeling. some musicians express a lot through physical movement, and some just keep the feeling inside while playing.

it does look beautiful when i see musician playing music and expressing their love for music through their physical movement.

have feeling for the music that doesn't mean can play better.

  • he plays with no feeling, watch narciso yepes playing, its a huge diference

  • as they say, opinions are like assholes. i just watched the narciso yepes version, and i thought it sounded robotic. i think this version has much more feeling

  • I tend to agree. It's about the sound of the music. The message is more important than the messenger to me. Besides, outer look doesn't portray inner feelings.

  • @pheeeel17 I couldn't agree more. This is the "old" way of playing classical guitar. Not too long ago, the goal, it seemed, of most male classical guitarists, was to play as fast as possible. Fast=good=accomplished. Thankfully, we see less of this today. Speed sacrifices expression. There's nothing compelling about Yepes' performance. It leaves me cold.

  • This is such a great rendition of a superb composition! I don't think I have ever heard it played better by any of the great guitar virtuosos.

  • for me it is one of the best version in internet. Bardzo ciepłe i lekkie w II części.

  • it is absolutely perfect....listen to it time and again, and then listen to it again, goddamm watch the barre chord placement of his fingers, wonderful omg i could listen to this forever, bravo, beautiful

  • estupenda interpretacion, clara y expresiva,

    mejor que muchas.

  • bravo

  • Bravo

  • very nice....clap,clap...

    Vinko

  • Splendid

  • tremolo is weak sometimes? u guys try it

hes a korean classical guitar professor

  • awesome

  • your tremelo is great, you should be on stages with an orchestra on the back Seungkook.

  • nice sounds seung!

  • I'll tell you what I like most about this dude: he gets out his tux for every youtube video. That is some shit.

  • Lol _ He's Awesome!

  • his tremelo is fine.this piece has varying dynamics is u read the sheet music.

  • Precisely.

  • great! but Francisco Tarrega is the Man

  • beautiful. coming over my cheap computer speakers you could still hear the dynamics of the piece.

  • Did you know that guitar was invented in Spain by muslims?

  • shredthisfaster

You must have a serious hearing problem...

  • Indeed....

  • All you hear is bass.

    I can't hear the trebles.

  • Than you shuold go to the doc ^^

I can hear both very well ^^

  • I think his tremolo is kind of weak sometimes...not all the time...is that mean he sucks? I dun think so. We should still give him a respect trying. If you have passion on music, it's a godo thing to see people try different stuffs even they didnt do his job prefectly cuz learning is a process. I still enjoy his play anyway, thanks

  • disagree. the meoldy is in the tremelo

  • The tremolo is the melody. The bass notes are ostinati.

  • A master...a brilliant talent.

  • I agree.

  • muy buena tecnica

  • çok hoş..

  • wow wow wow...this version and Jim Greeniger's version is really good.

  • amazing! bravo!

  • I don't understand how that tremolo is possible. Do you use two fingers, or three? I'm able to play the first part of Asturias pretty well, but that's not even close to the speed of this one. I'd really love to play it, and have tried several times, but have never got it right.

  • 3 fingers. Basically for every bass note you have 3 treble notes after it. Listen to the very end of the song it slows enough where you can here 3 notes played after the bass note.

  • if u can play the first part well u shuold know its three fingers on the tremelo

  • he can play the first part of asturias, not recuerdos. go listen to asturias, it starts out with just a high pedal, not tremolo

  • arent we talking about recuerdos though?

  • good news for you my friend....asturias is much harder than recuerdos...very much harder....

and in recuerdos tremolo must use 3 fingers AMI.

and the thumb(p) to play the bass...you shoud look and try...you will see that seems hard but the speed is more natural than asturias...hope you know what i mean(sorry my english is poor)

  • No, your english is ok :) But you mean three fingers on three strings, or on two? I don't get it. Perhaps the guitar is tuned differently?

  • :))) three fingers on 1 string...

    yap..that is corect oane string

with 3 fingers he hit oane string and forms like a melodic line of the song and with the thumb(the P finger) he hit's the base string and form the base sound of the song

you really shoud look on youtube ...you will find a lot of vids explaining how tremolo look and how shod be learned....

  • really nice!

besides Pepe Romero's version one of my favorite interpretations of this song on youtube

  • dude

  • this score is better than mine ( i paid). can anyone show me where to get it please?

  • Brovo!!

  • does anyone has turkish march score for guitar?

  • why are the acian people so fast in everything?

  • HIS TREMOLO IS MISTY

  • * * * * * * 6 stars BRAVO MAESTRO !

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA

  • Great SEGOVIA masterpiece!!!

  • letting you know Segovia is guitarist and this is composed by Francis Tarrega around 30? years before Segovia

  • Thank you for the information. I will read up on Francis Tarrega. The piece is lovely and I am glad that now I know WHO is the real composer.

Thanks again I appreciate your comment.

  • very good interpretation.

  • Great rendition of Tarrega's masterpiece!

  • kiciera tener ese video!! Me encanta ese video ES TIPO TOCA HERMOSO!!

  • perfect. 5 stars ...

  • It is played good but it misses a little...soul...feeling.....

  • I opined that he intended play misty than with passion.

  • Very good, played at a nice calm speed.

  • Beautiful, good tempo, not too fast, I'm very enjoyed

  • simply the best

  • Al final veo que Niki Jones, tenía sus habilidades. Ja ja ja

  • Nothing seen or heard?...

  • Beautifully played, Mr. Oh. By the way, who made your guitar? And what is that design on the upper bout?

    Great interpretation of RDLA!!!

    Dr. Gene Wong

  • So well controlled , this lets me hear the music not the usual showoff tremolo . Thanks .
