  • hey bill can u help?

i do all of these settings and the quality comes out very good but it makes the video very laggy. do u know any solutions?

  • Generally problems are related to the speed of your computer, the amount of free disk space, the amount of ram, and whether you are using Vista or XP.

A faster computer with plenty of Ram will give better results

  • hes fast and good ..talkn of course lol neato good job!!

  • Wich program do you use to record ?

    thx

  • I use Camtasia Studio to record and edit the video tips I put up on YouTube

  • What settings would you use for YouTube with Flash?

  • See my other YouTube video showing Camtasia Settings for YouTube.

  • can you tell me where you got your flash player?

because video just will not play on my player inside my camtasua studio 5,

i click on "play", but the preview window that plays thje video, just stays blank and black.

so i wanted to know what flash player is required.

and since videos play on your preview window, i wanted to know what flash player you have, where you got the flash player and etc.

  • If your video does not appear in the preview window of camtasia studio, change your video settings as follows.

On your desktop right click which brings up display properties.

    Select 'settings', 'advanced', 'trouble shoot'.

Then adjust the hardware accelleration down. and click 'apply'.

    This usually solves the problem.

  • thank you so much.

you have been one the best helps ever in my whole life.

thank you thank you thank you thank you so much.

  • thank you so much

  • can you plase tell me what flash player you have?

  • I use the ExpressShow flash video player included with Camtasia.

  • dude u rule i got red cursor of you and like sizer and that

  • How can I get Camtasia to render an .flv video? It seems that when I render to .flv I get all of these flash objects and other junk...all I want is the .flv video itself. I used to use AVS4YOU to convert my uncompressed videos to .flv for YouTube but my subscription ran out and since I have Sony Vegas Pro and Camtasia, I don't see why I couldn't use these two to do the same thing. Any ideas..?

  • One of the produce options of camtasia is to produce as flash. Within the flash options, you can choose to produce as flv.

If you just want to convert avi from Vegas to flv, use the free riva flash encoder program. It does a great job.

Find it by searching google for 'riva flv encoder'.

  • When you render to .flv in Camtasia, any swf files you get are related to the player needed to play .flv files.

If you have your own flv player, the Camtasia flv file will work fine.

  • you rock man ur vids are so imformative and pro

    :-)

  • how can i become a member .. on that site. ?

  • You can find the link to the Bill Myers site in the 'about this video' section to the right.

  • thank you :D

  • thank you

  • How do you mute a clip on Sony Vegas? Anyways, good tip as always :)

  • I have a question, maybe you can help me out.

I'd like to record myself painting in photoshop. now, Ive tried this once, but found it was difficult to paint because of the lag caused by camtasia. do you know of any way to make my pc run faster when recording? theres probably nothing I can do outside of maybe upgrading my pc, but if you know of any settings within camtasia to help with this that would be great. I just started using camtasia, so Im not familiar with what slows down performance.

  • We've recorded several photoshop tutorials with Camtasia (for a project we are working on), and haven't experienced any lag or slowdown using Photoshop.

If you are experiencing this, it could mean your PC processor is too slow, or you have limited amount of RAM, or your hard drive is nearly full.

Upgrade your computer (or RAM and drive space), close any unused programs, and you'll see better results.

  • Yeah, I kinda figured an upgrade or two would be the solution here. I didn't think you could do it with no lag at all though...

    thanks man.

  • first you rock bill
