Secondly I don't think we should determine what happens in Australia based on other countries intakes. You are right in stating they are not entitled to Centrelink but in its place they are getting the ASAS which is about 90% of the amount of Centrelink plus a whole host of other services free such as legal, counsel., housing, med etc.

Secondly I don't think we should determine what happens in Australia based on other countries intakes. You are right in stating they are not entitled to Centrelink but in its place they are getting the ASAS which is about 90% of the amount of Centrelink plus a whole host of other services free such as legal, counsel., housing, med etc.

@Welexish Agreed but the issue of homelessness is in my opinion a lot harder to tackel than that of refugees as most refugees could probably get a job and largely support themselves where as the homeless are usually homeless due to mental illness or cripling drug addiction and that is a much harder issue for the government to solve.
