  • Great tribute to Edmund. Would love to see the full length videos of all the clips you used!

  • The camera loves this family. Not an unattractive one in the family!! When Ricky gets out he can "come on down to my house" lol!!!!!

  • 3 people have burning STDs instead of burning love.

  • yeah i guess i would have to wait my turn considering I was hatched to late LOL.

  • I mean he was before my time i was born in 1976 but damn had i been old enough hell i'd give him a try. yes lord.

  • @sinfulhair1 Haha you'd have to wait in line sista, wait in line! Edmund was AMAZING! I'm so sad he's not around.

  • @RememberTheTime09

Love your comment, lol! I think all the ladies been running to these Sylver videos after the unsung episode. This man and his siblings were truly talented, and he was very handsome indeed! My favorite Sylver :)

  • Awe I never really heard anything by Edmund when he went solo. Such a great voice! RIP Edmund!

  • I think that young singer mario looks a lot like edmond.

  • HE WAS SO DAMN FINE LORD WHAT EVER HAPPEN TO MEN LOOKING LIKE THAT!!! love the post!!

  • @sinfulhair1 I know right!?

  • @sinfulhair1 *Tears...IDK! Edmund was a cool dude who happened to be a great singer, drummer & showman! Plus he was just stunning to look at and ooh-wee @ 2:04! Edmund had everythang! He deserved so much more from the business & life.

  • I remember meeting him in Richmond VA back in the early 90's I think....I was coming out of CVS store and there he was looking so handsome like the Star he will always be. He asked me did I know who he was and I said he looked like a Switch or Debarge..so he said Sylvers......I said you are Edmond Sylvers!!! I was honored to give him my phone number as a friend and I kept in contact with him for a while.....he always spoke highly of his son...We were friends not love interest...HONORED STAR

  • @EHYEHasherEHYEH1 I always wished I was able to keep in contact with him......I had my own problems during that time.....so I am sad today after finally seeing Unsung then this video to see that he has moved on........I wished I had met him when I was able to rent the house I had out in Sandston VA or when I owned a house.....I would have never let him get away.....I did not have a car then so all we did was talk on the phone.....sorry I did not even get a kiss...HE IS MISSED BY US FANS!!!

  • @EHYEHasherEHYEH1 THANK YOU UNSUNG FOR SHARING....... Life happens to all better believe it.....and pray and ask God to let you see his energy and he may visit in a dream.....Bless you Edmond and your living Family and on You Tube Edmond, Khalid Muhammad and the REST of the BEST are all IMMORTALS AND WE WILL KEEP THEM ALIVE....THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO.......I used to sing in a band back in high school so you know I loved "THE SYLVERS" AMEN

  • @EHYEHasherEHYEH1 Wow! Lucky you! He seemed really tall....not to mention gorgeous! Great voice and moves...wish he were still around.

  • he was my next door neighbor ,r.i.p.

  • They were all talented Edmund was amazing! I like Foster to!

  • Maxwell reminds me so much of him!

  • Wow! I really like this song. R.I.P Edmund Sylvers.

  • He died? In 2004? I did not know that. I didn't even know he went solo.

  • @FilmNoirFan1 ye died of lung cancer

  • its interesting how the lead singers of the greatest groups ever are the ones who die. lik MJ died, Edmund died, its a weird uncontrollable pattern. RIP EDMUND SYLVERS! WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!

  • I see where Maxwell got his motivation from!!!!

  • never knew he had passed away. never was a fan of theirs, but this is shocking news, and he pass way back in 2004,WOW.

  • I found here on youtube a posting called NO SYLVER SPOON. Apparently some of his kids (5 of them) tried to form a group of their own. Don't think anything came of it though. Tried to include the link, but this page wouldn't let me.

  • Edmund Sylvers died on Thursday the 11th of March from lung cancer at a hospital in Richmond, Virginia, following a 10-month illness. He was 47. A loving family man, he leaves 11 children.

  • @MrDerrickgibbs Ask his eleven (count them 11) kids, why would you even post that?

  • I took my baby to the pizza par-lor..to get a bite to eat, nah-nah-yeah..i put some money n the jukebox for her, u know she ate a pizza dancin to the beat.. they call it BOOGIE FEE-VA.. YOU'VE GOT TO BOOGIE DOWN...lolz. Man it was great bein a child of the 70z watchn them.. R.I.P. Edmund Sylverz..

  • Oh boy! Great stuff I tell you. Great memories!

  • Edmund was a very close friend and we had some great times together. In the early eighties we hung out and he used to come over to my house on Moorpark Street where we used to laugh most of the time and just plainly hung out talking about all sorts of things. Edmund had this great laugh that I used to always joke with him, just to hear him laugh. I found out a couple years ago he had passed away. We both moved on losing contact. I will always remember my friend Edmund. - - - JE

  • The Sylvers was a great group of the 70s but Edmund was the golden voice behind the group. His music will live on forever . He may be gone but he is never ever forgotten. Rest in Peace Mr. Edmund Sylvers

  • This Is A Great Tribute, I Wish There Were More R.I.P. Edmund!!!!

  • @SyrenniaLestrange the jackson started the trend thats why they will allways stand on top and they cross over all races the silvers, debarge, nor osmond ,didnt do that, but you are right ,without Michael the Jacksons the Jackson suck! i always only LOVED MICHAEL ! IM LEAVING THIS SITE ,but i did like the some of the Silvers hits I WISH THEM WELL ,and the reason i was here was i thought about them ,and was telling my 26yr daughter about some of the other groups that followed behind the J5!

  • @SyrenniaLestrange BUT NONE OF THEM COULD FUCK WITH MIKE !!!!!!!!!

  • @misfrancis09 HONEY you are so right ..................there will never ever be another like the THE KING OF POP..........MJ 4EVER

  • @SyrenniaLestrange EXCEPT Jermaine. Go back and listen to the Jackson 5's mid 70's albums ie: "GIT:Get It Together", "Dancing Machine" and "Moving Violation". People forget that during Jermaine's tenure with the Jackson 5 he was THE ladies man of the group and people loved when he led songs. History has proven that he should've stayed with the J5 because he didn't have a standout solo voice. I prefer Jermaine's voice to all The Sylvers---including Edmund. But,

to each his or her own. Peace.

  • b-4 the debarge, the sylvers were here and edmound was like what el debarge or micheal jackson was to their family group.R.I.P. edmound. u will 4-ever be missed, i remember all the songs on this video, thanks 4- posting. we need more family groups like this to make good music, i loved the slyvers. 8-14-20.

  • He was so fine!! I see w.hy he has 11 children.

  • how did he died?

  • @1087shotwell Lung cancer

  • DAMN!!!!! could his pants have been any tighter? Good lord for his poor nutters.

  • micheal could out sing all the sylvers the jacksons could dance better but the sylvers could sing and make better music

  • This was a nice video.....back when music was good & creative....no samples...real instruments...lol

  • It seems if the sylvers had better material to sing, they would have been a more popular group. Lots of their songs were mediocre at best.

  • wow I didn't know Edmund passed away. And which Mario are they referrig too? the Mario who is inthe news these dayz singing on the radio. That's Edmunds son? Boogie Fever is my favorite I went to see them at magic mountain sooooo long ago!! I am 51 now...I think i was like 15 or 16 then....Thank you for the post I had this on a 45 lol

  • can't believe he died r.i.p. Edmund

  • Thats Mario Daddy Yall. The apple didnt fall from the tree now did it?

  • Can't believe this guy is gone.

  • Whatever happened to good music like this?

  • MusicXMan, do you have the entire performance of "That Burnin' Love" and his second performance (I think it was the title track of the lp).

  • I am glad somebody wrote unsung about the sylvers. I am going to drop them a line as well. They were very good when they were in top form. I heard what recked them was the record company that was being run by white males wanted them to go new wave. We've seen many black artist destroyed this way. Can anybody verify this.

  • I'm not sure how true it was, but Its not out of the question. When New Wave became popular in the late 1970's, the group was on Casablanca records (mostly disco artists were on the roster, and disco was dying down by 1979). Foster and Leon Sylvers dabbled in New Wave while working with Janet Jackon (listen to "Come Give Your Love To Me"), Shalamar, Joyce Kennedy, and The Whispers (big mistake for them because that kind of music deosnt fit that group).

  • That's what happened to Shalamar in terms of New Wave destroying the group during the transitions between Jeffrey and Jody to Micki and Delissa.

  • i didn't know he died until now, i grow up on the silvers. the jackson, switch, i am very sorry to hear this, edmound u guy's were real tight and bad, i love you guy's r.i.p 11-02-09.

  • I did not know that he died until a few months ago. Boy was I on the late show. I am so sorry to hear about that. The Sylvers were so talented and I loved that they wrote and produced their own stuff.

  • Maxwell looks like Edmond!

  • Actually he looks like Mario and Donna Summers had a baby

  • Well, I think it's because of the afro. It frames the face. But Edmond is a little more handsome

  • LEON SYVERS THE III, WAS ONE OF THE BEST PRODUCERS EVER!!! When I was trying to get into the biz - I had hoped he'd produce some cuts for me, him and Nidra Beard of Dynasty. Loved his work with Shalamar and The Whispers.

  • He's the best producer in old school black music after Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis (sorry but the duo is better) and just ahead of The System, Mighty M/Hush Productions, Teddy Riley, Babyface/LA Reid, Prince, Vincent Brantley/Rick Timas, Monte Moir, David "Hawk" Wollinski, and George Duke/Stanley Clarke!

  • What ever happened To Leon? Is he still in the biz? I bought a CD he made from 5 years ago - sad to say it stank. It all had too much synths and not enough (if any) heavy bass lines and smooth rhythms& vocals like he's known for. Jam & Lewis are also good, as Rodney Jerkins & Darkchild, some of those others aren't as well know. I didn't care for Teddy Riley's sound.

  • And what's great about Leon is that even if he had NEVER produced anyone, he's still a HELL of a bass player with very distinctive and easily recognizable style...yet you don't see write-ups in BASS PLAYER about him. As a bass player myself, I can definitely tell you that his lines are probably the TRICKIEST from that era. "And the Beat Goes On" by the Whispers is obviously his crown jewel.

  • Agreed....and thats what sold me on that Whispers track. It was that heavy bass line. And since then, I was hooked on it, and new it was him cause he has a distinctive sound and rhythem.

  • He sounds great. Never knew he sang so well. RIP I loved you guys

  • there was so many members in this group that they could have invaded switzerland faster then the nazis took poland

  • Foster was okay he could never touch Michael Jackson, his voice was clear and pure at a young age. Edmond is so fine

  • Love the sylvers foreva Edmond has a son I hear can really sing. Foster is the one I thought was the baddest he sounded just like michael jackson. Remember his big hit Misdemeanor Number 1 on my ipod believe that.

  • nice looking family. i never knew he died only 47 wow

  • Still hurts to know he passed cause Boogie Fever still rocks the house!!! RIP E!

  • Thanxs for the tribute "RIP" EDMUND!..I remember I wanted to be like them and have them as my brothers and sisters and be in the group!.They seem to be a tight knit close loving family! ..and I would wear jumpsuits like they did and have a big afro..those were the dayz! The Sylvers too me were and always the bomb! and I would take them over the Jacksons anyday!

  • @dlmdkat that's your opinion and you're entitle to that, and if there was more sylvers fans like you then they would have had a long career instead of 2 gold records.

  • @MrNathan791 Having a record go Gold back in the day was ummmm quite a achievement it wasnt until maybe early 90's higher levels were The Ga-Ga..The Sylvers didnt have a longer career because of a thing called Promotion and if u know the Music industry and selling of records is due to great promotion skills, someone pullin the strings and a music mogoul behind you crushing and stalling your competition.Mj made the The Jackson's hands down..Leon Sylvers and sum of the rest became producers

  • THAT BURNING LOVE was written by Rene Moore and Angela Winbush.

  • ...as in 'rene and angela'?

  • @atchoobaby yep

  • He was cute, Maxwell kinda looks like him.

    R.I.P.

  • I'm shocked. I'm scrolling through songs, and I see this tribute to Edmund Sylvers. I never knew he went on till now. God bless his soul and his family. Great performer.

  • Edmond got 11 children?? Damn, how many do the other siblings got? Don't quote me, but I have heard that Olivia didn't want to perform with them because of religious reasons. Is this true?

  • I think you mean the oldest sister olympia, i read that she left the group to start a family, but I dont know how many children she has, but i dont believe she left because of religious reasons.

  • No, I meant Edmond who pass from cancer...the one that has 11 kids. I'm like when did he had his first child?? 11 kids?? Lawd...

  • Wow, what a nice respectable tribute to the man. Great job.

  • SOMEBODY PLEASE PUT UP FULL PERFORMANCES BY THE SYLVERS. I LOVE THEM!!! They were huge in the 70's. Home in Palos Verdes. Foster even wrote Janet Jacksons first hit "Come Give your love to me". Leon did all the writing for Shalamar, Whispers some new jack.

  • Actually Foster produced "Come Give Your Love To Me" for Janet (that was her second hit after Rene/Angela produced "Young Love"). Charmaine Sylvers and Glen Barbee wrote the song for Janet. Foster and Charmaine also had a hand in writing some of Shalamar songs (1980-1983).

  • How did he die so very young

  • Edmund Sylver died from Lung Cancer he is survived by 11 children.

  • Great performer when it comes to Edmund Sylvers, but after he went solo, maybe its just me but he seemed to be not as happy anymore, not having his family beside him. If he wasn't as happy that says even more about this man, family meant more than anything.

  • If there is a heaven, he's there. I was just 17 when I came fron IRAN to los angeles and he gave me a lot of joy with one of the greatest tunes " Hot Line". God bless you, until then.

  • Que tipo tan guapisimo era.

  • Hey carterboy66 I totally agree with your comment. I have sent TV ONE a request to do a show about the Sylvers on Unsung. Maybe they will listen to the fans

  • OH MY GOD! I HAD THE BIGGEST CRUSH ON EDMUND SYLVERS....I DIDN'T KNOW HE PASSED....MAN I AM SO HURT...I'M TELLING MY 16 YR OLD SON ABOUT THE GROUP "THE SYLVERS" and just happened to run into this video *************** RIP **************

  • Quel hommage à ce fabuleux groupe familial..Cool et ça donne des vibrations pour s'éclater..C'est vraiment top cet hommage à Edmund thanks so much mister Musicxman ...

  • TOP CE GROUPE ET LEUR STYLE EST VRAIMENT UNIQUE..J ADORE... ALORS POUR FAIRE COURT "boogie fever" forever....Avec les Sylvers...

  • Edmund was one of my most cherished friends. Someone whom will always have a special place in my heart.

  • So sorry to hear Edmund passed away. I had the pleasure of meeting him. He had motorcycle at the time. I also remember that he was with Miss Freda Payne for a while also

  • Edmund Sylvers was the lead singer of the group "The Sylvers." At age 47, he would succumb to lung cancer in 2004, following a 10 month illness. The Sylvers hits include: "Boogie Fever," and "Hot Line."

  • I always thought that Foster was the lead singer. I often wondered what happened to the Sylvers. They would make a good Unsung show for TVone

  • Yes they would. So would The Jones Girls.

  • Theres just one problem. Theres not enough drama for The Sylvers to have a Unsung...............unless theres alot we don't know!

  • I dont know.. I mean I thought the same thing about the Clark sisters but they had one.

  • There really is alot....TV One should DO IT!!!!!!

  • This is a wonderful tribute. Edmond was very talented and had an awesome voice. The entire Sylvers family was amazingly talented and beautiful. But the Jacksons had the backing of The Motown Corporation and Michael was exceptional.

  • my sister met leon sylvers back in 70,s took a picture with him shewas trying to get discovedwell i always loved them great family and good looking girls are pretty

  • Nice job nice tribute..thanks for posting this!

  • Rest In Peace Edmund...thanks for the beautiful music and the memories!

  • the silvers were great they sang as good as they looked so sorry 2 hear edmond died

  • Thanks for posting this. What a talented family, brings back many good memories. Does anyone know how Edmund passed away? R.I.P

  • He had lung cancer.

  • Thank you for the information. What a terrible way to go. He's in a better place now though.

  • hey enayb I do agree. Edmund was hella fine. I had the pleasure of meeting him. Cool brother. RIP....

  • oh my lord my heart is racing. I grew up in this area where you got good secular and gospel quality music.I don't know what this stuff they r doing 2 day!!! I was madly in love with Edmund Slyvers. IN fact all those Slyvers Brothers were fine ! fine! fine! I remember when Edmund had a long love relationdhip with singer Freda Payne .yea she was much older!!!I was hotter than some grease on the stove. But I still Love you Edmund I got over it.cryed at your passing!!! RIP Edmund!!!! Enayb!!!

  • I've been a Sylvers Fan since the 70's, my Husband think that I have lost my mind because I still know every song that they sang. My 16 month old daughter loves Boogie Fever.Every time I cook dinner, my daughter and I boogie to Boogie Fever.

  • ps: The Jacksons also had THE best branding..even The Osmonds couldn't hang with that..

  • I LOVED The Sylvers and The Jacksons but overall The Sylvers presence, harmony and writing..hands down. Cry of a Dreamer, I Know Myself, etc But The Jacksons had the secret weapon..MICHEAL and JERMAINE..

The Sylvers were TIGHT and held their own very well.

Lets not even get into the Five Statirsteps...

    RIP Brother Edmund

  • Was Edmund's career sabatoged by the powers-to-be?

  • The Sylvers sisters were beautiful I would've loved to marry one of them

  • Yeah like Patricia!

  • Yeah, both of them were fine you'd have to flip a coin because it would be too difficult to choose one of them.

  • This is one of the best tributes that I have seen! Good work...very nice! It is sad..he died so young.

  • there is NO WAY the Sylvers sisters are prettier than The Jackson sisters! One of the Sylvers sisters had buck teeth! So what the Jackson sisters had plastic surgery. They are gorgeous! Stop hating!!! And have you seen the Sylvers sisters recently? They are fat, and unattractive!! At least the Jackson women take care of themselves!!! Janet is STILL HOT! Check out those abs? And where are the Sylvers now? the only one still around is Leon. w/exception of Edmond. NO WAY they beat out the jacksons!

  • LaToya would be an exception to your theory (shes a mess), but I have not seen the Sylvers sisters recently so I cannot totally agree with you just yet.

  • I believe that Edmund Sylvers was the first brotha to sport a jherri curl, before Michael Jackson and Cavin Yarbrough (of Yarbrough and Peoples)!

  • You CANNOT be serious!!! The Jackson Sisters look like feet compared to The Sylvers Sisters!!

  • LOL,i was thinking the same kinda, how the sylvers family is such an attractive family, why they didnt get as big as the JACKSONS,is beyond me!!!

  • lol lol lol lol lmao you said it

  • You Are So Wrong! They a GodGiven Beauties!! Hey, Time gets to us all. The Sylver are a beautiful family:)

  • both family's were beautiful, and in all way's,and very talented, they were the greatest familys in music,in the 70's, they all will alway's be missed, and loved, ament.

  • The Sylvers Sisters are worlds more beautiful than the Jackson Sisters. Its natural, I don't think Janet and LaToya remember what that's like,

  • S-L-A-M !! lol

  • the sylver sisters are very pretty. love the jackson girls but too much surgery especially toya. that's what makes the syler girls pretty.

  • I am going to settle this argument. Olympia Sylvers was so fine you can take Janet, Rebbie & Latoya roll them into one beauty ball and they still couldn't touch Olympia. And you know this Mannn!!

  • Yes Sir I really had a crush on her !No plastic surgery Playboy spreads afterwards! She left the group early on,as I remmeber the exact time. A real Natrual!

  • Damn, Olympia WAS fine though, you're right.

  • @winpointmedia I AINT INTO GIRLS BUT NO TALENTED LATOYA ALONE BEAT OUT THESE 3 CHICKS!

  • RIP Edmund Sylvers

  • better than the Jackson sisters.

  • I agree the sisters of the Sylvers are better looking the the Jackson sisters.

  • Also I'm not a family member...just a musician who grew up during the same time both of these groups were doing their thing...They are both beautiful and talented families.

  • All right jfrazier and anyone else interested...The Jacksons were very talented...what I am saying and have said is the Sylvers were a better "singing" group merely because their harmonic range was wider, and more natural and frankly to me better sounding. It's only natural when you have a natural soprano singing a part it will sound better than a forced one. Music harmony 101.

  • Gotta agree - their harmonies were amazing.

  • I agree 100%. The Sylvers were fundementally better than the Jacksons. The Jacksons had Michael and the Motown sound behind them. Without Mike, there was no group.

  • So, shouldn't you rethink your position. That's like saying, well, all Larry Bird had was a Jump Shot...or all SHAQ did was dunk all his points...that's all they needed! The Jacksons had Motown and Michael because that's all they needed to be the last Great Act to come out of the MOTOWN HIT Factory. But, I have to admit, there chorography was super tight!

  • Superman 21980, don't confuse the topic...everyone knows the Jacksons outsold the Sylvers...but Big Mac's outsell Filet Mignon...so that means squat to me...I go by talent and the Sylvers, dressed better, danced better, and sang better.

  • lol, only you could believe in that lie, you must be a family member because this is some BS if i ever heard it. as far as singing and dancing no one beats the jacksons. you are clearly mad.

  • @jfrazier590 u got to be out of your mind, the sylvers rule!

  • Pardon the typo...that's Olympia.

  • i'll give you one, the sisters in the Sylvers are much better looking than the Jacksons sisters.

  • I suggest you study a little music harmony and go back and listen to Sylvers 1 and 2. Especially their version of "Yesterday" by the Beatles. The Jacksons were not shearing Motown's interest with any other young talent...MGM was very heavily more interested in the Osmonds. The Jacksons also wore some terrible outfits on stage.

  • Well I wouldn't say they were better...that is a subjective statement...and as they put it, their material got better after Jermaine proposed and married the Gordy girl (Dancing Machine album came out). But they could have a live album for the whole decade of the 70's and 80's and they still couldn't harmonize as well as the Sylvers. Their mom was a trained opera singer...Olmpia's voice alone would have blown away the entire Jackson family's voices away.

  • that is why she is featured on soooo many leads of their songs, please. The Jacksons made it out of sheer talent. Both are good but the Jacksons are better

  • I agree with hotkaramell because the J5 had MJ. end of story. W/O MJ the J5 would have had their lil run as kids then fall off. People came to see Michael and Michael only. The jacksons never had their own label. They were purely performers. Jermaine got creative with DeBarge and Switch, and Michael decided in his 40's to do MJJ records, but that's pretty much it.

  • Thank you Sweetie! That's my point exactly. Without Michael, there was no group. Period. The Sylvers were just the bomb, but were not backed like the Jacksons or the Osmonds. You know I got to be right about Mike's talent if he's been repeatedly charge with child abuse allegations, he now looks like a burn victim and people are STILL willing to pay to watch him perform!

  • Rip Edmund Sylvers, Even though you died three years ago, I will always miss you.

  • does anybody know, what Edmond Sylvers died of?????

  • Lung Cancer.

  • thankx....did he smoke???.

  • To my knowledge, no.

  • that sad!! R.I.P

  • No n0gar...you may be a liitle ill...The Sylvers were more versatile and also owned a much wider and smoother vocal range. Apparently you never took a music harmony class. The Jacksons(5) were very good, but they had Motown who backed them strongly...The Sylvers had MGM who were more interested in the Osmonds...

  • look....i agree with u on the point that J5 had the motown machine, behind them because after they left motown, the

j5 were over.the Sylvers didn"t get "NOWHERE" near that

backing from mgm.however j5 were still light years better

they had mj before his voice changed.they got close, one

time with LS/III misdemeanor which he wrote for foster.

some people, even today think that was the j5.

  • Foster had the talent and the voice. Unfortunately he didn't want the spotlight. I read his webpage that he had up. Don't know if its still there, but he said he loved drawing more than performing. He actually wanted to be an artist. The bass love came after being in the business.

  • I agree!!! The Sylvers were also in show biz a decade before the Jackson 5. They were called the "Little Angels". They also did episodis TV in 60's

  • The Sylvers were better than J5 simply because they could ALL sing. Once Michael Jackson went solo, that was the end of the group. Leon wrote, Edmund was lead singer, Foster did his thing every so often, they were more complete melodically and harmonically than the Jacksons wished they were.

  • at that is why the Jacksons sold 90 million records from 70-79 and were the second biggest selling musical act after the Beatles. As for people not knowing history the jacksons toured in the 60's and had pre motown records in 68, i know because i have them. they were once the "Ripples and waves plus Michael". you all are just made that in 2 years the jacksons outsold the entire sylvers catalog.

  • The Jackson Five didn't always have Motown behind them, they had to fight because of their slump in 72/73 and finally left in 75 and didn't achieve the great success until they produced their own work in 78. Don't be made because the Jacksons were better, not everyone can be the top. The Sylvers were good but have you listen to the Jacksons vocals on their live album..check it out 1981

  • Edmund, like all his brothers and sisters was very talented...on that Sylvers not as popular or good as the Jackson thing...taste is subjective so if you like the Sylvers more it's your choice...also keep in mind a Big Mac is more popular than Filet Mignon, but it's not better...

  • You are sick! The Jacksons are better in every way and they have waaay more hits/classics.

  • Edmund was a natural lead singer. I liked his extended in-person version (with the group)of "Fools Paradise" and he does a smooth job (Leon wrote a great song)on "Through the Love in my heart."

  • Thank you for creating and posting this. God rest his soul...In the Summer of 1977 he and his family put on a free show at what WAS the Oak park mall in Chicago...I was homesick for Cali...they blew the folks away with their dynamic talent and energy...suddenly I wasnt so different in a far away place at 10 years old! Thanks again!
