Not multi-touch, that came before the iPhone. But the way you zoom in and out, the way you switch between landscape view and vertical... Apple came up with those ideas and now seems like "everyone's" doing it.

It's an appealing feature that consumers want, apple has a copied off of a lot of things as well and it's helped them to become very successful. Copying is very common in the electronic world and it can lead to a hault in the evolution of it but it usually gets better with the minds of every company thinking up new ways to use it.

The way you switch between landscape and portrait? No, other phones had that before, my Nokia N95 could do that long before the iphone came out, it's a chip called an accelerometer that allows this to happen, that tech wasn't invented by or owned by Apple :)

yes but bcos they use the same resolution and same amount of colors, palm pre has a greater dpi so images look better on its screen.

those arnt innovative things they're basic design, the fact is apple made those features work seamlessly well, where as palm and whatever the fuck neonode is didnt impress anyone with them. apple make working designs and feature that are a pleasure to use, unlike this crap which has features that look cool on paper, but in the real world are aggravating due to being executed badly

neonode nvr became popular cos v few ppl ever heard of it and their phones were v expensive for the features they offered but they had flawless touchscreens (optical) which no other phone has ever used. i got to try 1 and its more responsive than iphone so it did work seamlessly well. apple COPY working designs and apple fanboys like u buy it cos it has an apple logo on the back.

palm pre uses a better processor than the current iphone and even in the video she said "it works faster than my iphone" so these features do work well. Also it has the features iphone lacks. If u look at the situation the way ur lookin at it: wats wrong with a black and white phone? they dropped less calls than iphone and cost less? they worked "seamlessly well" so y buy an iphone? y cant u accept that others can make the same features and others work "seamlessly well" on other devices?
