  • They shouldve kept this in the movie so funy and ironic! One. Murdere and they're both smokeing while singing this haha class!! A funny thing noone has it anymore

  • Oh there aint no gentlemen to open up the doors... so true... and so sad...

  • Beautiful satire.

  • @musicaldramaqueen what about Mr. Cellophane?

  • Wow if they think class was suffering back then, they would have heart attacks if they saw how it is these days

  • It sounds so amazing

  • Thank you for uploading,yes.

I love this song. Simply because-Its exactly my thoughts put into a great song,

in one of the best musicas ever written.

  • thanks for uploading all these!

  • This wasn't in the movie was it?

  • @Kaneknife No, it was cut because it was boring :(

  • @ThreeBooksInTheFire I saw it on youtube, it wasnt THAT boring.. They could've redone it? haha.

  • @Kaneknife Yes, but with all the other songs the plot continued throughout: Even Cell Block Tango, which, though awesome, is basically six women explaining why they killed their men when it could have been narrowed down to just two of them. Class was just Velma and Mama sitting in Mama's office moping.

The song is hilariously witty, but it adds nothing to the movie and kind of ruins the pace of the last act.

(I'm pretty much just paraphrasing from the commentary...)

  • @ThreeBooksInTheFire It was cut because it didn't fit the consistency of the "Roxie's Musical Interpretation" storyline. The thesis that strung the whole movie together was that every heightened situation Roxie experienced was translated in her mind as a musical number, so what we saw were chains of events through Roxie's eyes. But because Roxie was not present during the singing of "Class", there was no logistical reason for the musical interlude; thus, the song had to be cut.
