I loved Dino Danelli's drums, I thought Eddie Brigati was perfect for some songs, And I came to believe that Gene Cornish was probably one of the underrated rhythm guitarists of the era. But there is, to me, no question who was the heart and soul of The Rascals. This guy still sounds great. His album, Dreams in Motion, from mid 1990s is an overlooked gem.
I saw and met (and heard) Felix at a show in a small park about 6 years ago. Sounded just great. He very graciously signed the sheet music for "Good Lovin'" that I brought with me. Someone snapped a pic of us together and I have it posted on my Facebook profile. Thanks, Felix.
It's a beautiful morning every morning when this lovely, lovely world has Felix singing his soul that captivates such mesmerizing energy...Do you Feel it?!
Just Come on Up because your Love Is A Beautiful Thing!
Probably removed the Ed Sullivan clips on account of them being used on the PBS special tonite (2Dec09). And to 156038 - It was the first tune I heard after graduating BAsic Training at Dix in May '68Try going without music for 2 months back in the day - bet you couldn't hack that either. .
I think they lived in Rochester, NY...George Jordan9 my fiance's brother) set up their equipment...think they toured with the Brass Buttons in Puerto Rico late 60's..great guys, great music!
They've split into this group and the New rRascals - who just played in Schenectady, NY last Saturday. I think that is Gene, the guitarist, and Dino the drummer, but not sure. Couldn't tell you why though - probably the usual ego problems and "artistic differences"
Felix's new Rascals are a far cry from the original Rascals, a real disappointment to myself and others who remember the Young Rascals from the 60's. Saw the new imposter Rascals in Bridgewater, N.J. at the Somerset Patriots baseball stadium. They played on the same night as Blood Sweat & Tears along with Southside Johnny. Although I never really cared for BS&T they impressed me more so then Felix's new Rascals. Out of the 3 groups Southside Johnny definitely brought the house down that night.
Man, Felix still has the chops. Beautiful. I really wished that I could crawl into the video though and knock a few heads together of all the people milling around, jabbering, to kindly STFU and listen to the man sing!!
yeah...the dorks...they probably don't even realize they are watching a rock legend at work here. They probably think it is some local cover band and can't even tell the difference.
This song , just make me wery wery happy, i first heard it on "the king of queens"...
and then i look for "It's a Beautiful Morning " and there its was.... ( on you tube) iám gonna to hear it every morning when i drive to work, great work. best regards. from nuller
Felix, you are still the man with the voice . What a great performer and musician you are and allways have been. I hope these young cats see this and learn from you. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SONG.
Goodonya Felix, you've lost nothing over the years, still as brilliant as ever. Why didn't the Rascals come to Sydney to perform is beyond me. You'd have been a smash hit here too.
Yeah - look here on youtube for some of their '60's TV appearances on shows like Hullabaloo or the Mike Douglas show. Fantastic! (if you can get past the little Lord Fauntleroy costumes) Alice's radio show is cool! That reminds me, I've never looked up any Alice Coper videos on here - off I go...
Alice Cooper, on his radio show of 11-16-07, mentioned that along with Jimmi Hendrix, The Rascals were one of the best live acts, in his opinion. A big tip of the cap by Alice! It made me check out this site to see.
I don't know why people get the impression people are ignoring him - everybody showed up to see him, and from where I sat - (behind the camera) everyone was paying attention or trying to find a seat
Felix sounds awesome....His dad was a dentist down the block from me when I was a kid in the Bronx. He gave me a ride in his convertible with a bunch of my friends when I was 10 years old. What a cool dude...
Shame this poor video is the only one for such a great song

How well I remember this song! It was 1969 and they were playing it at the draft board! How ironic! Didn't have to go, phew.

The videos of them on Ed Sullivan show and other shows have been removed from You Tube..for some reason.

That's too bad, they were awesome performances. Especially Good Lovin on, I think the Mike Douglas show. Someone will put them back up

happened that they stopped making
music together ? I play at least 2 or their
recordings daily.
