The day after the torch relay was ANZAC day. It commemorates a battle where Australian and New Zealand troops invaded Turkey at Gallipoli and were soundly defeated. However, there was little hatred. Both sides respected each other. They had a ceasefire where the "enemies" shook hands and shared their rations, then buried the bodies. Australia and Turkey have been firm friends ever since. So yes, you can fight a war and keep a calm heart.

1. Local indigenous Tibetans are our brothers and they consider themselves Chinese. Some hold very high positions in our government.
2. Local Han-Tibetans are Chinese of course.
3. Exiled Tibetans living in Dharamsala or other parts of India are more or less naturalized East Indians. Those under age 50 had not lived in Tibet under the Dalai Lama's earlier rule.
Chaotic resistance only in France, UK and US. Not many people protesting against China if you extend you vision to other countries in Asia, Africa and S. America.

A week before the torch relay, a number of Australian newspapers carried reports that the Chinese embassy was organizing a pro-China protest and had paid for buses, meals etc. Those reports may have been correct or may have been incorrect. This is something we need to establish. At the moment, the best way to do that is to let all of the conflicting voices be heard.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the pro-China protest/ display/ whatever came across to people witnessing it as a calculated attempt to crush all dissent that was reminiscent of the Cultural Revolution. The attached video shows that clearly. If the embassy had bussed in a crowd who had behaved with great dignity, no one would be complaining. If a patriotic heart is not also a calm heart, everyone is in trouble.

The day after the torch relay was ANZAC day. It commemorates a battle where Australian and New Zealand troops invaded Turkey at Gallipoli and were soundly defeated. However, there was little hatred. Both sides respected each other. They had a ceasefire where the "enemies" shook hands and shared their rations, then buried the bodies. Australia and Turkey have been firm friends ever since. So yes, you can fight a war and keep a calm heart.

China should learn from the ALP in how to bribe old news media as they too support legaly killing more than 10 children a year simply for getting feminist political benfits to print how to vote cards, grog donations, and other construction funding to new pulp mills. Then have a Union bus people in for a voilent right of passage.
Oh if you work for the ACT Government or any part of it then you are above the law and by ALP passed law will not face conviction for the good of the re-public.

but i do believe dalie lama succeeded in his lies: tibetans ethnics cannot practice religion or speak their language, because in reality ppl who have been there say they are free to do any of those, whereas natives in western countries cant. liar's lies did create ethnic tension.

1. Local indigenous Tibetans are our brothers and they consider themselves Chinese. Some hold very high positions in our government.
2. Local Han-Tibetans are Chinese of course.
3. Exiled Tibetans living in Dharamsala or other parts of India are more or less naturalized East Indians. Those under age 50 had not lived in Tibet under the Dalai Lama's earlier rule.
Which group are you talking about? Be specific.

Those men-in-blue are not paramilitary forces but volunteers who just finished a crash program specifically designed for their escorting job. Good training and dedication produce good people. Paramilitary forces would not know the rules governing the Olympic Torch.
