i don't why they were only one hit wonders!!! i have both this album and their second one that came out in "81, very VERY good music. I put them on cd and jam out on my ipod, LOL!!!!
@bubbakuhl Let me tell you how professional this group was. I had them do each song twice and cut the 2 versions together in post. You can only do this successfully if the group's choreography, etc. is very tight and consistent. Looking at both numbers they did for me, it's hard to tell that 2 different "takes" were used.
@DaveWollenberg You know when Alton McClain saw this clip, she got in touch with me. According to her, their appearances on "American Bandstand" and "The Dinah Shore Show" could not be found and these clips represented the only televised performances she could find. I immediately copied my masters to DVD for her. She's still one classy lady.
ok i don't know where he found it, but my coworker's husband got this album downloaded to a cd for me. its really good. so if anyone wants a copy, let me know.
sad to say!!!! but Delores Warren of this group passed away in 1985 from an auto accident, that will be the singer on the left of the lead singer, RIP Delores Warren you are truely missed. one of gods singers now, keep singing baby girl!!!
Wow, what a great clip! Thanks for sharing. I've never seen anything live of them on stage, despite being a huge fan of the group. This reminds me that I have to get around to uploading my video of Krystol doing 'Passing From A Woman' on R&B music awards from 1986.
Yes, thank you for this. "It Must Be Love" has always been one of my favorites from the disco era. I remember seeing Alton McClain and Destiny performing this on American Bandstand back in '79.
Lucky you! I sure wish that American Bandstand performance was here on YouTube. By the way, Alton McClain and Destiny had 3 albums on Polydor, all worth having.
Thts my first name Alton ;D
