It's an old Seymour Duncan humbucker that I took out of an SG. It has a real nice sound. If you have it available to you I would make the body out of some type of ash wook, you'll get a real rich tone from that.
this guitar sounds really great...almost like a Dobro, which I love. I'm planning on building my own, and would be so pleased if it sounded like this. What kind of pickup did you use? single coil or humbucker? thanks
A lapsteel guitar is made specifically for playing slide guitar in your lap, like in the video. They differ from normal guitars in that their action(the area between the strings and the fret board) is very high and they lack a conventional body. They're usually tuned in an open tuning. There is also pedal steels, which have a volume pedal as well as pedals to tighten or slack individual strings. It's some pretty cool stuff, you should check wikipedia
@PaciFistProductions hi thx for the info! so the strings are the same for guitar and for lapstell yes? there is difference between a stell slide and a cristal slide? i guess work better stell slide, i had a cristal slide on guitar but it dont give me a metal sound as your
