Blocking with your arms folded just increases your risk of injury, you need to open your hands and push on the opponents chest pads to drive him on running plays and hold on pass plays.

If you're in a higher grade they'll expect you to know more but if you're younger, they teach you more. I think. I've played football one year.

when i 1st joind all i knew was u hit someone and theres lotsa people on the field at once. now im my teams killing machine indestructable running back oline dline and maybe some linebacker. when i 1st joind i couldnt tell a safty from a qb and its only bin 4 years. o and did i meton that i moved up a year and played highschool football as the only grade 8 in the league(this iswnt about me gloating its just 2 say some one that knows nothing about football can join and they taught me everything.

Offensive linemen at all levels are taught to use their hands. As long as their hands don't go outside the body, it's not a hold.
