However, the US could learn a lot from Australia, the UK and even Canada as far as taking care of our sick and elderly - regardless of their insurance or financial situation. You pay a bit more in taxes, but you wont go bankrupt or lose everything you worked hard for because of a medical bill.

Thank god I don't live in America. Where I come from we pay our bills look after all sick people (rich or poor) for a small charge and we don't allow guns unless your a farmer and we are OK with others being gay and being an atheist. There is still a lot Australia has got to do but we are way ahead of you guys.

@factvfiction I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'm from Scotland - moved to the US 10 years ago - and don't regret it one bit, I love it here. However, the US could learn a lot from Australia, the UK and even Canada as far as taking care of our sick and elderly - regardless of their insurance or financial situation. You pay a bit more in taxes, but you wont go bankrupt or lose everything you worked hard for because of a medical bill.

In reality the average middle class make less than 75,000 a year in general.

but after i had a kickass junior year and got amzing grades, and looking forward to graduating highschool, going into engineering school and just learning in general, my ex came back to me and hurt me again. i became depressed and nothing mattered to me any more.
but after 3 weeks of watching bill maher, i got out of my depression and once again was excited for college. thanks bill, ur humor helped me get my priorities straight and realize what is truly important

When the housing bubble was growing, not everyone could afford to live in a $250,000 house, yet the loans were there and they took them.
