Chip that goes bad in keyboard if it gets wet.. If your laptop still charges but does nothing when you press power try and do the keyboard short method of turning it on if it turns on justmget a new keyboard/power/mouse pad you just maybe be surprised.

HEY,months ago my macbook didnt work from one day to another and took it to the Technical center. They said the motherboard died because I spilled liquid on it,which wasn´t true!!and they wanted me to pay 832 euros in Apple NEtherlands!Of course I refused and I found out you can turn it on just touching a pin in the motherboard with a screwdriver,Now I am writing from my Macbook and the power buttom is the only thing that is not working. ...maybe yours had the same problem xD

:O I never knew they could be so horrible! When my sister's Toshiba overheated and wouldn't turn on, we spoke to someone on the phone and they were very nice & told us to send it back, that they'll fix it for us. They didn't make anything up about spillage or anything like that, simply fixed our computer because the processor overheated and we still use it to this day! And did I mention it was free of charge? So Toshiba may be an okay computer, but customer service is amazing!

@96792luv WTF Low quality? hey the first MacBook I had, It's my parents that gave it to me and they got it in 2003 (it was a PowerBook G4) and I still have it today and it NEVER crashed. I bought a MacBook Pro last month because My G4 was a bit out of date but I still use it anyway you see Macs are expensive but if you know how to use it you should'nt have any problem but it can happen some troubles but personally I never had problems with my Macs and iDevices XD

@Keepskatin I agree with you. My Macbook has been repaired by Apple 3 times without any problem. The first repair was for a hairline crack in the casing. After they replaced my top-lid and monitor, I got a monitor that had backlight issues. So, I took it back and they replaced it again. Then the top-lid would not stay shot when the laptop was held upright. Apple dug in a bit and tried to say that it was not covered under the warranty, but after a short phone call, that was resolved, too.
