  • LOL THATS A 2001!

  • What do you do with the oxygen sensor when there's no cat? And is this mod illegal?

  • i think im gona do the same thing with mine...along with headers

  • is that a single in dual out or a true duals?

  • im not a flow master person but its not bad man...stright pipe it now that would be nice

  • sounds good. your video inspired me to go with flowmasters as my muffler choice. i got a video up you should check out.

  • Every time I hear something like this on the street, I turn off my radio. This is a much sweeter sound!

  • how are dakotas with the 318 on gas?

  • @TheKtmrider118 mines horrible but i also like hearing my exhaust. haha i average about 15mpg but i do a lot of city driving too

  • @mahaffey08 i have a 97 dakota with a 318 v8 with straits i get about 13 mpg witch is horrible :P if i replace my sparc plugs i could probly pull 15

  • MEAN

  • Hey is that a single in/dual out flowmaster?

  • first guy not to run to his car lol!

  • do you have to run both pipes down the right side or can you do one pipe on each side?

  • damm, i want mine to sound exactly like that

  • hey wen u take off ur cat what do u do with the sensor that it has comeing into the cat?

  • awesome sounding. i got the same truck. what kind of flowmasters? i want mine to sound like that

  • Anyone know if there is a stroker kit for 97' 318 dakotas?

  • @gearheadd318 Yes, there is. Check ebay. Mopar smallblocks have a generous deck height, and a 4" crank fits easily in the block with no modifications. A 4" crank will take a 318 out to 390 ci. Another cool thing about 318s is the thick cylinder walls in the block. A lot of people don't know it, but most blocks can be bored out to 4.00" while still maintaining adequate wall thickness needed on the thrust side of the cylinder. A 4" bore, and a 4" stroke, yields a 402!

  • I have the same truck in the same color except its RWD, I want to put straight pipes on it and have them end just in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side.

  • Very good!

  • That thing sounds sick. I cant wait to get the flowmaster 40 on my 318-powered Nissan Patrol with Hedman Tite-tubes.

  • Thanks man. When you get it put on you should post a video of it on here so I can here it.

  • @mahaffey08 Exactly how loud is it?...I like the flowmaster super 40 and I am wanting 1 for my 99 dodge ram 4x4. But my truck is fairly loud right now and with just the muffler it seams like it wont do much...I think a straight pipe is to much, but i want everyone within at least two blocks to here my truck when i puch it, but I also dont want it to be deafining anside the cab when going down the highway...what do you suggest?

  • @jonx4x4 318 powered Nissan Patrol? WTF?!

  • u can always take a sawsaw to them

  • I will do that more than likely. I have headers that I need to put on and once I do that I will probably get my new tips and go ahead and put those on too.

  • i freakin hate thos coffee can size tips what the fuk is up with them thier everywhere!

  • All they are are 3" tips. I was pushed for money when buying my exhaust so i had to go with these. I really wanted a rolled, slash cut, chrome 3" tips but as i said, money was an issue.

  • how many cubic inches and whats cats

  • 318 cubic inches and a cat is short for cataletic converter.

  • nice sound check mine

  • what kind of tips do you have on that? silverline perhaps? what size?

  • Heartthrob 2 1/2 inlet 3 1/2 outlet. All stainless.

  • sounds mean

  • how do you feel about taking the cats out? good idear? I gutted mine sounds better to me

  • They were already off when i bought the truck but id rather just take them off. That way i know that it has no restricted flow from the motor to the muffler. Ive never heard a gutted cat so i couldnt tell you.

  • I think its sounds a bit deeper with a gutted cat, my dakota sounded better after I did it then before

  • if you remove the cat you have to buy a oxygen sensor bypass; it plugs into where the oxygen senor normally is; or else it will throw the CPU off and run your motor rich

  • thanks for the tip

  • yeah i did it with my 3.9l v6 and a thrush glasspack; check my videos; i thought it sounded great

  • 40 Series Delta Flow

  • what kind of flowmmaster do u have? im looking to purchase an exhaust system with an agressive sound

  • Sounds good dude! Hey, are those Ohio plates? I was up in Columbus for the 2006 mopar nationals. Nice state.

  • Thanks, they sure are. It is a nice state but the weather sucks most of the time! Haha

Getting headers soon, ill have another (final) video when they are installed.
