The purpose of this car is?

@mryellow123 Basically the pilot of the plane has just spent around 10 hours in the air in a space suit which means he is tired when it comes to the landing, the space suit also limits visibility and so the car driver (another pilot) lets the plane's pilot know how far off the ground he is to avoid slamming into the runway

@alexfair8589 not alot happens mate, once the pogo wheels are fitted on the wings the plane taxi's back to hanger where the pilot is removed and a debrief of the mission is carried out

@AdrianNtart Literally straight after this video when the plane comes to a stop resting on one wing, the wheels are following the chase car on a 4X4

@Ralroost When the plane comes to a stop on the runway it leans to one side and rests on the wing with most fuel remaining, the wings have skid pads on the ends so that no damage occurs. Once stopped, the wings are fitted with removable wheels to taxi back to hanger

They chase the plane so that the driver can guide the pilot to the ground by telling them how high there are as there is a lack in visibility from the cockpit
