  • OMG the picture at :26 is priceless. She was the best ever. Listening always brings me to tears and I am a 68 year old male.

  • Not my favorite C's track - it kind of drags - but Karen sings it flawlessly (like everything else on "Horizon"). Would have liked to have had "Tryin to Get the Feeling Again" on this album too.

  • (I'm Caught Between) Goodbye & I Love You" is not only a love song for me. I can also relate this song to what I am going through right now -- the devil and the deep blue sea. And I hope it's not yet too late for me :(

  • I've been having this song lately in my mind, so so glad 4 ur posting this Great pics. and such perfect harmony . I also like hearing these song in HD. It reallybrings out that perfection..

  • a track which is never hardly heard,

  • @AutumnSplendors This was before she was married. She didn't get married until '80 and this was recorded in '75.

  • I'm still love this song, one of may favorite.

And this is my feeling now... T-T

  • I still have the original album "Horizon" with me and all her long playing albums... I love you Karen... Your music have help form me into a loving person.. thank you angelic pop singer...

  • This is a fantastic recording...don't know any technical terms but my ears are just so pleasured by this recording quality....!!

  • simply soothing...

  • Karen's voice will never be forgotten. She was one of the Best!

  • Ciao Karen R.I.P. :(

  • A superbe vocal even by Karen's high standard, and excellent production.

  • 1 dislike..? Are you an alien? hehehe

  • i am and will be forever a carpenters fan!

  • I too recall purchasing this record. I loved the cover - & that flap! Seemed so classy at the time... and Horizon remains one of my favorite Carpenters albums... Karen at her finest... I only wish it would have had 10 full songs with the book ends of Aurora and Eventide... That would have been the only thing that could have made it better.... A beautiful work of art from start to finish.... and ALL I listened to the summer of '75......

  • excellent audio...tnx for the upload :D

  • this one is my theme song!

  • This one shows her lower range sooooo well.

  • Perfect song on how I'M FEELING RIGHT NOW....

  • nung mamulat ako sa music, mga kanta ng carpenters ang gusto ko.why dont you try listening again to those songs and you will be back to those happy days of course with lonesome moments too that normally happens to eveyone.this is for you my wife cecille ermitanio pero di pa cya matanda ha! magulang lang

  • after losing two elder sisters in a matter of months (12.09, 05.10) the carpenters were the only singer and musician they admired, loved, adored. the music of carpenters evoke such deep feelings enough to mist-up one's eyes and move heartstrings to levels of emotions only the heart can understand. this immortal song will forever remind me of my two sisters who's in a much better place in heaven and never been easy to pen this note in between tears and grief, joy and happiness too complex to bear

  • My favorite song. :)

  • What a waste of such talent... She looks SO pale and almost "bones" in all these pics... I wonder what she "saw" when she looked into the mirror, to become an anorexic! She was so beautiful already!

  • Wonderful Presentation :) I love this song!!!! Carpenters Forever!!!! Thanks for sharing :)

  • This is the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Rich, balanced, beautiful and emotional, it also has personality: Karen's flawless voice is unmistakable. When she gets to the end of the lyric and sings "...blue sea", her low register reaches the bottom of my soul. It's a kind of magic. Thank you very much for sharing this excelent sound quality montage. May I have these quadraphonic mixes in MP3? I would love it!

  • Karen lives on in our aching hearts. Thank you for sharing

  • WOOOOOOOOOW BEAUTIFUL THANX

  • I have this quadraphonic disc too! Thanks for sharing. :)

  • I Miss Karen.

  • i really love her voice...its makes me relax every time i play this song over and over again...it is really amazing!

  • Fantastic song! I love this one very much...

  • I remember this song was the #1 hit in Manila 30 years ago. I was still a student and they played it on the radio every hour. Never understood why this song isn't as popular as the others here in the US. This is one of my favorite Carpenters songs and Horizon was their first album I ever bought and also my all time fav. Karen and Richard are the best!

  • cool and meaningful.

  • Is Karen your favorite vocalist? If so, please go Google:

Karen is nº 6. She deserves Nº 1!!!

  • Although I am very young (only 21) and I have never met Karen Carpenter but I've been listening to her since 7 and the way she reaches right to your heart makes me feel like I've known her for a life-time. I love her so much.

  • This song made me cry!

  • again, just brilliant work by THEMotownBoy

  • I think this is the best song of Karen though it was not as popular as it should be

  • I still remember the day I bought "Horizon" in June, 1975. I was 13, and summer was just starting.

This album served as the soundtrack of the whole summer.

  • Funny how we remember such trivia from the past. I still remember the moment I borrowed this LP from my GF in high school, and couldn't wait to get home to play it.

  • @NostalgiaBob ...me too. I skipped school and hitchhiked to the mall to buy the album. I was a kid. After buying it I ran into my Aunt Monica at the mall but it was worth the punishment. I was sent to my room and listened to the album over and over again.

  • @NostalgiaBob Hear hear. Me too. The only difference is I was 22 then.

  • @NostalgiaBob

Greetings. I have a few years on you. I was twenty. I have the album and heartily share your sentiments. For my own part that was a particularly nice summer. Johnny Rivers had a big hit with "Slow Dancin.' " One knew what was coming on the radio when one heard those crickets, eh? Went with a young lady in a colorful peasant dress (and quite a nice hitch in her get -a-long) to a summer night-time open-air theatre presentation of "South Pacific."

  • @NostalgiaBob Still have my copy!!!

  • @NostalgiaBob AMEN! And what a fun summer that was!!!! Couldn't get away from hearing "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "The Hustle" being played over the A.M. dials a zillion times! And then the soothing comfort of Richard and Karen.

  • @NostalgiaBob Same here.....I was 13 too. And songs like this bring it all back.

  • Gran recuerdo.

  • I haven't heard this song in a LONG time. Thanks for posting one of their lesser known songs.

  • i love this song! one of my favorites...when i starts to listen i do feel ghost bumps...thanks 4 uploading.

  • simply one of the best.....i love this song so much......perfect song for mind boggling situation.....ha ha ha....

  • Simply wonderful. Thank you. You and NED are the best - and clearly love the Carpenters. I hope to meet you both someday.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH ,it make cry,if they'have not died i'll buy they're CD

  • great song!!

  • this is beautiful! i love karen!

  • This is one of my favorite songs off the Horizon album. The song "I Have You" on the Kind of Hush album reminds me very much of this one. Both songs have that instant "chill factor" when you first hear Karen's voice. My favorite part of this song is at 2:22 when she sings, "Give me a reason... why should I stay here?" Now when I listen to this song, I think of her marriage to Tom Burris, and their eventual breakup. I also like the music at the end at 3:41 till the end. God, I miss her...!

  • love the "chill factor" too. :)

  • yeah, that certain chill factor. <3

  • Simply beautiful, Karen was the best, nice montage too!
