Yeah I actually just switched my Chinese geckos cage to a 30x30x30 and it has a custom cave background that's made out of spray foam, and when you use the repti-bark substrate and spray it down really good it holds heat and moisture really well. My geckos tank stays around 75 degrees throughout the day.
lol i have everything in that for my 2 crested geckos where did u get that? because we have the exact same everything exept for the back round mine is myan
actually, they are suprisingly docile and friendly for their age, they are only a few months old now( maybe 4 or 5), and theyre already nearly as friendly as my leo Geico, which tells me that if i were to put a good effort into taming them, the could easily become MORE friendly than Geico. So my answer to you is yes
wouldn't it be better to have a horizontally oriented viv as they are not technically an aboreal species but whatever works for you I don't have any experience with this species
Yes, technically you are right, as they arent technically an aboreal species... They do however, LOVE to climb, and literally the second their light turns off, they come out of the hides and start climbing EVERYWHERE. I even catch Bae Sung upsidedown on the screen top sometimes!
hello, Chinese Cave Geckos sell for about $100 each. As for were you can get them, it would have to be a breeder, as they are a rare, newer discovered species, but I know i breeder up in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada that breeds them, but I'm don't know of any other local breeders. I dont know if you'd wanna go there from the states to get a gecko, but do what you want. As for lifespan, it is the same as Leopard Geckos, they can live up to and over 20 years. I will be posting a care video all
i was originally going to get only one gecko, which would have cost me $100, but it turned out the gecko I had planned on buying had to be sold with its future breeding partner, so it was going to cost me $300. Since I had only brought $100 with me, thinking I was getting that one gecko alone,I could unfortunatly not get them, though that would have been awesome if could breed them! So these so geckos here were the only other 2 luii's, all the others had yellow stripes, so I planned on getting
how much they go for?

Ok,and,if the room is hotter than 82,what do you do?
Akyy1994 1 year ago
@Akyy1994 I'm not sure to be honest, but if it's hotter than 82 degrees you shouldn't need to heat the tank.
blizzardleos 1 year ago
@Akyy1994 if the temperature goes higher than 90f, use air conditioner for you and the gecko
reallylongusername03 8 months ago
how is it with the temperature for this guys?
Akyy1994 1 year ago
@Akyy1994 They like the temperature at about 81 degrees, their requirements are similar to that of a Crested gecko, apart from eating habits.
blizzardleos 1 year ago
@blizzardleos And if it goes above, like 85,is it bad or something?(I guess at night they like room temp)
Akyy1994 1 year ago
@Akyy1994 It should get to 82 at highest, and room temperature at night should be fine.
blizzardleos 1 year ago
@Akyy1994 in the laws of animals, a less and more than 4 degrees is ok.. like if a fish likes 70-80.. 66-84 is ok, but not as 70-80

one of these, for $50 because they had regenerated tails, but the breeder offered them both to me for $70, so I figured I would save them both.
