i cant believe they didnt put this into an episode. they really touched on something that has been a big question since doctor who started. why does the doctor alwas travel around with human companions?? the idea of him seeing the world though the excitmentof his companions is a really nice way of explaining it.

Seriously this should have been kept. The part where he says why he took her, lines up perfectly with the god complex. It shows a bit more of the personal side of the doctor I guess..

Q made almost this exact argument in DS9, about how he's old and everything is just boring now that he's lived so long...I'm not sure if Q can travel through time, but I'd imagine having that ability would made things kinda boring after a while, and that's why he would want someone who could make it exciting again. :D

I really disliked Amy at the beginning, always throwing herself at the Doctor while she has her fiancee back home. She got better after Rory came along for the ride, he really balances her out. I love him!

Amy is officially the best companion ever, and Matt Smith the best Doctor. I'm sorry, but I love this era. All the others were too old and proper for my tastes and the Tenth was just... Spazzy. And cheesy. EXTREMELY cheesy. But this... Oh, I live for THIS. If I were to be one of the Doctor's companions I'd want to go with the Eleventh 8D

@doz222 The TARDIS is probably teasing him a little here, like "What did you say? You have no interest in Chicks? What about the one you had a nice romantic dance with in this very controlroom?" XD Which is probably just a tad counterproductive here since he's trying to keep her from tearing off his clothes. He probably *did* have just a sliiiight thing for Amy (Some lines in "Amy's Choice" are very obvious) but is far to decent to deprive poor little Rory of rightlfully-earned girlfriend.

Did the Doctor just say 'miss out the metal dog, why don't you?' LoL :) Not quite sure how I was supposed to understand that line. Maybe it was because the TARDIS only showed the female companions and left out ALL the men like Ian, Adric, Ben, Jack and especially Mickey that was constantly reffered to as the 'tin' dog. I don't know, didn't make much sense to me, but I LOVED the fact that they showed all the past companions. This should've totally made it into the actual ep :D It's AWESOME mate
