And this, my friends, is why Supernatural is "that show about two brothers and some car." And also, the best show I've ever seen. With the most heart.
i love the begining part, cause i can just picture sam and dean hearing the story of where the car started off, and just smilin those smiles they got.
We've seen the family impala in Heaven, I for one would love to see Dean and Sam travel into Hell with it, right up to the cage, Dean switches on headlights, then sams soul is reuinited with his body. That to me would be an awesome way to end Season 6.
@elgranotacon Chuck is a prophet. That's how he knows all of that. He gets divine inspiration. You should watch "The Monster at the End of this Book" season 4 episode 18 it's all about Chuck pretty much.
Metallicar is as important for the show as Dean and Sam are. In the ending, it was who saved the world. Just brilliant how a simple car can be the difference.
THinking about this episode makes me cry. I was bawling so hard at the last few minutes i could hardly see. I still tear up every time i watch it so you are not alone. :)
@Rogalsfist Yeah, and the whole "virgin, hooker" thing. Also, he is writing about the car being instrumental to the conclusion before he claims that he hasn't "seen" the ending yet. If thats not evidence that he is the one writing the story and not simply recieving it, I don't know what is.
@Rogalsfist Do you mean the fact that "Magda" Is part of: "Mary MAGDAlene" Then Dean says something about Chuck having a penchant for virgin hookers. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. Then there was the virgin Mary. If thats what you mean then yeah, I got it. lol. Kinda makes you think a little more about Chuck being God.
@harmoney06 Sam and Dean's names are a reference to Jack Kerouac's book "On the Road", which is about two friends' road trip during the Beatnik era. The main character's names are Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty. Kripke said once that he chose the name "Sam" instead of "Sal" since Sal is not really a common name anymore.
You never really think about the history of the car, you only think about the history of the car once the winchesters buy it. Not before, i love the history of it with the old pastor owning it first.

Rogalsfist 1 year ago 30
@Rogalsfist
Not at first, and they had put little things in that hinting to (when they first met chuck and he goes on about how much of a horrible God he is)
the writters were tricky like that, but soon as he blinked out my mouth dropped and i had a pretty good feeling chuck was god.

"Sal Moriarty"! I love the way they use On the Road as a reference/intertext. I wonder how many people got that reference.
