There should be an universal standard for keeping animals in zoo,especially for endangered animals.China obviously can't give a damn about preserving endangered species.They only care about the money that the poor animals will bring in for them.

The zoo looks awful; just about what I'd expect in China. But to be fair, there are similar zoos all over the world. It's not just one country, it's the attitude that we can imprison our fellow animals for life just for our own selfish entertainment that has to change. I love seeing animals but I will never go to a zoo again until I check them out online and see what their habitats, facilities and conservation records are like first. There are a few preserves and sanctuaries that are truly good.

The zoo looks awful; just about what I'd expect in China. But to be fair, there are similar zoos all over the world. It's not just one country, it's the attitude that we can imprison our fellow animals for life just for our own selfish entertainment that has to change. I love seeing animals but I will never go to a zoo again until I check them out online and see what their habitats, facilities and conservation records are like first. There are a few preserves and sanctuaries that are truly good.

I agree with what your saying but what you have to remember is that Chinese Tourists along with other tourists are paying to see this sort of torture! The Supposed "Zoo Keepers" may not have been trained properly but this doesn't not stop them tormenting the animal and having them preform acts to amuse the gawking on lookers. And the fact that we have chosen for Beijing to hold the olympic's this year is babaric, Chain clearly has a lot of catching up to do in regards to the rest of the world!

@lingcheung Chinese fuckers are mostly dickheads. So if anyone swears at chinese people, its perfectly acceptable. However, I am not taking the credit away - animal torture (particularly small sized animals) is fun. I do it myself by kicking some pups around :D

only in china and korea can you watch a cat boil to death, before drinking the broth, pick a puppy, beat it to death and bake it with veg, skin a kitten alive for fur ..and watch a very fat pack of tigers kill a small calf.. ALL LEGAL -besides, animals don;t have feelings...right?...BOYCOTT CHINA & KOREA - not content will polluting our planet with fumes, killing sharks, dolphins & whales, now this.. Lingcheung, thanks for caring about animals and sharing this wonderful video. Seems like there are lot of caring people in China, it will be nice to round up enough people and file a petition against the zoo. I believe all bears should have a pool in their yards (enclosure). They like water, and it's fun to see them play.
