Brazil rejects Honduras ultimatum

Zelaya broke the law and violated the Constitution, all major national institutions, including Congress, the Attorney's General's office, the BAR association, the Supreme Electoral Court and the Supreme Court considered his actions illegal. He was warned to stop his plans to violate the Constitution but chose to carry on anyway and ended up creating domestic unrest and a diplomatic crisis. It was Zelaya's lack of responsibility and hunger for power that led Honduras to this situation.

Has anyone here ever read the honduras constitution? Honestly? It clearly states" any person holding office that tries to extend his length in office will hereby cease political function for 10 years". Zeleya was in office, He tried to change the constitution, He automaticaly threw himself out office for even ATTEMPTING to change it. GO READ THE CONSTITUTION IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME.

Zelaya was going to call for a vote among the population to change the constitution so he could be re-elected, and that is ok if the senades approves, but it did not and the army seized power after some clashes with the president (and, believe me, there's no constitution that let the army take power without government autorization).

There are a lot of little things in this whole crisis, but clearly both sides are wrong and do not give a damn for the population of Honduras =D
