I have heard this identical noise before, I never knew what it was! In the area behind where I live, there's wild growth, with many squirrels out and about, especially during the warmer months. I always thought this squeaking/cheeping was coming from birds. Well, now I really know!

Thanks for posting this. Found a baby squirrel fallen from his nest last evening due to winds. Have the baby outside right now. Have my speakers out the door, volume wide open - Using this to try to call Mom to come get him. :)

My cat TOTALLY thought this was a bird! He looked at the ceiling and was very amazed. He's still trying to find the "bird"... Straring up, climbing my sofas and tables, everything. Such a silly cat!

A tree co. was taking a hollowed out tree down. Then they hit a bee hive bbbbzzzzz. Next screaming Mother & 5 baby squirrels ! Tree crew handed them to us to raise hm. I called Wildlife ctr ahh no they said put box of babies back on stump & Mom will get them. She did tree crew thought Mom would destroy them ctr said never squirrels are the best moms and would never hurt their young . Click on and see !

I love squirrels very much. There are grey squirrels, red squirrels, black squirrels, and chipmunks in my yard, and I am feeding them. This baby boy is so cute. You saved his life.
