Why do the 2 N64 castlevanias catch so much flak?

I mean I loved them from start to end.

Sure they are hard as hell but that's what made them fun.

And the music was beautiful.

That same giant crystal was in Castlevania 64. It didn't have lasers, it summoned a giant bull you had to fight.

The original version is pretty tough. I can't beat it at all with Reinhardt, whereas in this version I can beat the entire game without dying at all with all characters.

i was stuck there for years. xD but i figured it out...i found out about the wall not able to be broken cuz there was a seal on it. i hit myself over the head on how i didnt realize that...i havent beaten CV64 w/ Reinhardt yet. only Carrie [[cuz she's cooool]]

Tower of science was always my favorite level in this game, but i dont get it....this game takes place in the 1800's and there's motorcycles, machine guns, machine gun cameras, electric traps, etc......

Oh i hate the tower of science i always died in there but i love this game because you have to have the brains to be able to play this game so thats why i watched my big brotehr playing xP

The Execution Tower was also strang beacuse it emphisied more VIOLENT deaths.

The Tower of Ruines always made me mad beacuse the puzzles and maze in the first half. The Tower of Science was always scary do to the thought of mechinized power.
