  • id let kurt russel bang me lol

  • what's up with this argument? sheesh..

  • also what did you think of planet terror may i ask??? i love robert rodriguez hes one of my personal favs..

  • fucking awesome. i wish everybody would shut up.

  • shouldnt have watched it then, its not like you didnt know an 18rated tarantino would be violent now is it??? dont watch planet terror...

  • I really like the editing. This is a good movie!

  • I absolutley love this film!

  • This is the original. The other was the updated version. I would imagine there's a soundtrack.

  • no the original is on the soundtrack...

The coasters, it would suprise me if he used an updates cover it would be very unlike tarantino..

  • Agreed. He's kind of purist about music, too.

I have a CD called Truth and Fiction which has the first 1/3 of each song from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack and then Tarantino talking about the reasons he picked each. I'd like to see the same with Death Proof.

  • this i why i love you tube, i admire him for his impecible taste in music and for the fact he always sticks to the originals..

thanks for the tip on the cd, i may just pop down to my nearest cd store and get a copy, sounds good! x

  • You bet. It's on MCA Records, #MCA5P-3209 but it's only a promotional item, so it wasn't for retail sale. I'll tell you what, though, send me a PM with your info and I'll burn a copy for you.

  • id love that, but im the most un computer type girl in the world, without sounding really idiotic and im so sorry buts what a pm and if i have one you can have it! id love a copy....x

  • Wrong. He confirmed such in an interview with Elvis Mitchell on TCM; saying that the record he had gotten ahold of a long time ago turned out to be a re-recording, but he loved it more.

  • Dont start a comment to someone like that, WRONG. it makes you sound really Precocious mr know it all, yes its a re-recording but made in 1970s - still with Gardner singing the lead, one of the original coaster members after the origianl in the 60's,we were commenting on the fact if another group had covered it then tarintino proberly wouldnt have gone near it, and a re-recording of a track isnt exactly covering it, ok mr wrong.

  • I'm sorry you're so touchy. I never said it wasn't The Coasters, I just said it wasn't the original version. And as for Tarantino never going NEAR a cover song, what about Urge Overkill's version of "Girl, You'll Be A Woman"? Or Smith's "Baby, It's You"?

  • im not touchy at all i just belive theres polite ways of putting a point across, again you come across quite rude, whats with the sarcasim now? i said proberly in my point of tarantino, and i was wrong,so there you go you learn somthing new everyday and in my ladylike manner i say thanks for that but you do come across a little rude in your comments and replys, so touchy or not being polite in my eyes is a nice thing to be and takes no extra effort.

  • Firstly, I apologize for the touchy remark, its unnecessary, I agree and I'm sorry. Secondly, I never intended with the "WRONG" statement to be rude, I was simply correcting you, but if I had taken the moment to add a "I'm sorry, but that's...." to the beginning of "Wrong", it wouldn't have seemed so rude. I apologize, and didn't mean to come off as a jerk.

  • well i was surprised, you obviously have very good taste and a world of film knowledge that has to be respected, its all cool, maybe we can start again by me saying good video! you seem like a abit of a tarantino Connoisseur which in my books is a good thing! so hello im severina and its good to meet your aquaintence!

  • Agreed, but this was just too much of a good thing.

  • gringos in mexico

  • FORGET THAT COMMENT HEHEHE ;)

  • down in mexico we waiht for you my american friend....down in mexico dont forget ask for a guy called joe ;)

  • i dont known this version of down in mexico its for the coasters too i think is more cooler than the original

  • Grindhouse - Machete fake triler.

  • I don't remember too. I think that wasn't in 'death proof'

  • Agreed! I like Quentin's dialog, but he overdid it this time. Just get the fuck on with it.

  • Even though I wanted Kurt Russel to get away I still liked the ending. Ur rite though he definatley overdid all the dialouge at the start it took way too long getting into it. Still a great film.

  • If he would've had 10% less dialog and that time spent on action sequences, this would be in my top 5 movies.

  • i guess the reason he has a lot of money is because there are people like you reading comments to videos on you tube and defending him , dont criticize me for doing the same thing you are

  • Nice username. It's good to see some brand loyalty, even if it is to the forces of ineptitude.

  • criticizing is one thing, but above a specific level (which tarantino reached) u cnt say his work suxx... There are enough shitty hollywood movies, but deathproof? cmon

  • i love at the end when the girls beat the crap out of him. karma's a bitch

  • i love at the end when the girls beat the crap out of him. karma's a bitch

  • This is an ace film, its rely real, it dont have any stupid bits that wouldnt happen in real life, especially the ending when hes running away from the girls!!!

  • beautiful song!!

  • i love this movie and this song!

  • Good film, terrible ending.

  • Se estrena el 18 de abril en Mexico... despues de un año que salio... pero por Tarantino vale la pena la espera.

  • the best part is the lap dance and the black girl shooting mike XD

  • sombody knows the italian translation of this song??

  • who sings the song ??????????

  • the coasters

  • The Coasters

  • Kim (Tracie Thoms) had a 1972 Mustang Grande.

  • Stuntman Mike rocks !!!!!!!!!

  • nice reference to the movie convoy with the rubber duck on the hood

  • best song;]

  • yesssss!!!

  • hi all i keep seeing a dodge charger i have not seen the movie yet so i don't know if he starts with a charger ends up with a nova?

there is surely a charger and challenger also nova im 48yrs old and been in all those cars(i have a 72 nova)sometimes in movies they isert cars to crash up and paint alike but i ant the same.

  • his cars are:

    first a nova

    then a charger

    girls cars are:

    honda civic ;)

    (73 mach 1?!) fastback mustang

and test driving a "vanishing point" challenger

  • a dodge "vanishing point" challenger

  • You should see the movie its awsome! Great chases. I have a charger amongst others and my baby a 65 shelby mustang, im a classic car collector.

  • the movie features a 73 mustang mach 1 fastback a 1970 challenger (with a 440)

stuntman mike drives a 1970 nova and a 1969 charger

  • I wanna go to Mexico, throw back shots of tequiloe, and get with feisty spirited senoritoe!

  • I revoke. Just saw the ending and some bitches kickin' his asssssssss!

  • That's what a lot of original Grindhouse was about. He would have been pretty far off the mark had it not been like that.

  • its dogde charger is a car who has my comic caracter duke but the song is a little diferent

  • amo esta cancion

  • its a chevy nova and a dodge challenger

  • well, nice video.

  • this is not the exact version of the song that was on the movie!

  • dodge charger´s gonna be my car :)

  • there was no dodge "charger" in tht film

there was a dodge avenger and a dodge challenger but not a charger (im pritty sure anyway)

  • WELL the black car really looked like one to me..but i could be wrong :)

  • i was just helping in ur car choices hehehee

  • You're not. It is a Charger. :)

  • Como que no hay un Charger en el film?, tal vez el motor no sea de un Charger sino de un Avenger pero la carcasa SI es de un 1969 Dodge Charger. El otro es un 1970 Dodge Challenger (Vanishing Point).

  • hey I just bought the DVD (never saw it in theaters) and I wanted to know. Is the second part of the film (fourteen months later) NOT damaged intentionally, because planet terror had the film look damaged throughout the whole movie.

  • yes.

  • just saw this movie ..was awesome loved it...i think this is the song she gave a lap dance to kurt russle so hot..

  • This is a great movie...

(not for all dumb ass fucks...)

...you see the movie a can really tell that is a tarantino xD

  • I fucking love tarantino, a genius!!

  • *Great video but see THE ROOM by Tommy Wiseau!AWESOME!

*THE ROOM MOVIE (website) by Tommy Wiseau! DISCOVER IT!*******DISCOVER "THE ROOM" by Tommy Wiseau! SEE IT!******

  • havnt seen planet terror but just watched deathproof and wow, it was more then just a movie, the conversations, the villian, the heroes so much depth

  • I love the cameras - all screens without digital effects! It felt so real! absoulelty LOVED the movie...

  • I think that this is one of the coolest movies made in a very long time. Maybe it is Tarantinos best movie too. It is figured out in every little second, piece and procent. The music, the camera, the colours, the dialogue and the humour. Nobody can do it better than Quentin, and thats a fact. If you don't like this, then you´re not a real fan! haha. He do also have reeeeeaaally good taste of music! And for you who didn't get it, the movie is like an answer to all the old B-movies! ;)

  • awesome...tarantino...awesome

  • this movie made me hate Tarantino with a renewed passion. 2 hours of TALKING, after the most kick ass ACTION movie ever, "Planet Terror". I wanted these girls to die.

  • this is actualy the first tarantino film is really like, just my opinion, rare opinion

  • Well it was suppose to be an average movie.

he could totally make this better if it wasent suppose to be a Grindhouse movie.

  • only good thing to come from mexico, and nachos

  • 130 comments only?:P i beleive that the treiler of the deathproof is very very awersome but its the only action sceen in all the movie!by the way what is the actors name?

    it is the top!

  • Ive been looking for one since I saw this movie (Rock/Dance Remix)

  • i liked modern day cars until i saw this movie now i know retro muscle cars are the only ones a man should drive

  • i thhink tarantino really abused on the dialogue on the movie

it wouldn't be a tarantino movie without the talking but i think that abouyt half an hour of the dialogue wasn't necessary

  • Very nice film. Tarantino always makers the best movies. Very cool killer. Dump through. and chickenshit.

  • There's a lesson to be learned here. Never fuck with a black bitch and her friends. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

  • Great song' nice movie

  • love the song and the film!!

  • the lapdance??? where is it, I love that scene!

  • can any one tell me the name of the song played on the dvd for death proof? on main menu?

  • um..chick habit!

  • Way too much talking in this film! Not a bad thing if the dialogue is cracking, but it just wasn't the case. Still loved seeing Kurt Russell - my favorite '80's genre actor!

  • can someone please tell me what the song in this is called?

  • "down in mexico"

  • the new zealander in the movie was hot.

  • shit her accent was fucked and her vocab was australian... but go the kiwis!!!

  • She's a real kiwi stuntlady. That was all her as well - so she must have a naturally messed up accent haha

  • nicely done i loved this movie

  • for more exploitation flicks check my page above

  • Hells ya!

  • Good Job! Great song...Coasters

  • mih

  • all the girls in this movie are fucking hot...taratino knows how to pick em!

  • haters...its ok..Mtv and multi media has poisoned some minds, watch White Lighting or bullitt for fucks sake!

  • I really like the song in this movie!!

  • This version isn't the same as on the QUENTIN TARANTINO'S DEATH PROOF, which is 3:22 long.

You want the version that's 3:17 long, most likely, which is available, curiously, on GRINDHOUSE: QUENTIN TARANTINO'S DEATH PROOF. There is a third version, probably more, which is a re-recording clocking in at 2:54.

  • Sorry. I mean to say that 3:22 is available on the soundtrack of that name (w/o "GRINDHOUSE"), and if I make no mistake 3:22 is the version in the extended release.

3:17's on this trailer and the GRINDHOUSE soundtrack.

    At least I think so.

  • Damn, Vanessa Ferlito is a badass fox in the movie

  • best car chase i have ever sceen

  • the music was pretty good, but the rest sucked! MAJOR waste of time!

  • jenche19:

the lapdance chick really does look like michael jackson

My response: you have a thing for Micheal Jackson?

  • my response: shit response, try harder

  • My response: Mind your fucking business and learn to read with a sarcastic tone ya dimwit.

  • Who sings this version of "down in mexico"?

  • It sounds like the coasters

  • w/e lonespider this movie was epic, quintins style is unlike no other and the end was my fav. scene, Booya!! lol besides hot rod, im loving the whole kick someones ass then raise your hands in triumphant routine haha

  • where can i get this version of the song btw?

  • Shit, this movie was like the Gigli of thrillers!

  • god i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this movie, this song is awesome and so fitting

  • i loved it! bring on Planet Terror.

  • one was the Charger was a 69.

  • I agree that most of the movie was boring but the car sceans, me being a car guy where really good. It also has a good soundtrack. So I do like the movie.

  • The first one was like a 70 Nova. But the other two cars at the end were a 69 black Charger vs a White 70 Challneger.

  • I am so in love with this movie. It was awesome!

  • I love the 72 Nova vs 70 Charger chase, reminds me alot like Bullet.

I love any Quentin movies, but this one lacked a ny depth in plot but Kurt played a perfect psychopath that was out of his mind, his cowardly behavior near the end was fun to watch.

  • people here's a suggestion, don't comment on something you don't like,it's just annoying, oh and those who advertise sex sites on here, realize that minors do come onto Youtbe, so fuck off jackass, oh and an awesome movie.

  • I Love the 72 Chevy Nova it's fucking awesome.

Tha lap dance was sexy as hell.

  • That Charger too. Its a beast. Gotta love the chearleadeer outfit also.

  • 60's MUSCLE CARS ARE SO COOL, YOU COULD'NT DO THAT WITH NEW JAP CRAP. It be so lame.

  • I love the movie and i love this song who is so funny !

  • lalalalalaaaaa...i'm loving it!jajajaja. The end was pretty good but...I'm just a girl, you know...

  • this movie was fucking bad ass!! and badass music!!woohoo austin!!!

  • Death proof was tottaly crap and pls russell a badass? yeah right

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!! after seen the perfect movie i was looking this song in limewire

  • Hehe you are gorgeous.

    Nice clip indeed.

  • people are disgusting. none of us deserve to live except the ones that built muscle cars. everyone else can die. including me.

  • whatever its not even worth it. have fun living in your blind ignorance.

  • What are you talking about? how can you defend people? No one on this planet is wort saving.

  • including you?

  • yeah including me. i don't like people and i don't like myslef either. were a disgusting race. tarantino just mad with worse with this movie. The only character i liked was russell who was a badass until the girls kicked his ass. lame.

  • you sound like a fucking idiot.

  • yeah, i don't spell very well. but just because i have my own opinions on the human race does not make me an idiot. you should chill.

  • dude see somebody, and they need to put you on something...

  • cars are more important and valuable than human beings. Quentin should be shot. there is NEVER an excuse to destroy muscle cars. They are more beautiful than any living person and more worthy to protect. this is worse than any human massacre ever.

QT needs to have his family raped, tortured and murdered while watches as i saw his limbs off. that is justifiable punishment for this travesty

  • wtf are you talking about? here just to piss you off i would junk and burn every muscle car just to cure 1 illness.

  • Why? people are worth nothing..none of us are. we are all horrible creatures and deserve nothing. cars dont start wars and kill people and hurt people on their own.

  • well then you didnt see maximum overdrive then huh

  • wtf are you saying???retarded!

  • This is a different version of the song than the one from the soundtrack. Does anyone know anything about the two versions (single version and LP versions perhaps)?

  • i love dis song

  • Sydney Tamiia Poitier aka Jungle Julia in Death Proof

Tracie Thoms aka Kim in Death Proof

Rosario Dawson aka Abernathy in Death Proof

N E Way Hope That That Helps

    LuV TaRa xXx

  • does anybody know the name of the black girl? she is soooo sexy to me!

  • I wanna do a lap dance!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could imagine this music into a movie like Goodfellas or Casino, and Tarantino movies too of course.

  • J'aime trop ce film!!
