Cyril the story of your family, your music have made me want to be a better person. God bless our President and God bless an America and ALL of it's people.
Great song" thats how people are feeling now when they go to the poles to vote in November. So I can see how people get pumped up when they want change
Tonight (Mon, Nov. 3, 2008) on the bus going home, riding down Martin Luther King Boulevard in Denver, Colorado, we all got to talking, and just out of the blue we began to sing "A Change Is Going to Come". Wish you could have been there, Cyril, I will remember the celebration and that moment as long as I live.
I don't know him; however, I know Aaron Neville. God bless him! This is not even our country. The poor American Indians are suffering more than we are! Although they have a couple of Casino's, they are still in bad shape...and their necks are still being stepped on so that they don't talk about it to the world.
I came back from Vietnam as a 22 year old in 1968. When I heard this song, there was a sense of pride in my stride, and I walked taller because I had been drafted and did not
I feel you my Uncle Solly fought in 3 wars , and he always told me he was fighting for survival , he tought me a lot about the evils of this land and its hatred, sad to say he died in a public hospital after being denied at the VA, yes this is our country ,hate he missed the inaguration along with so many others who have gone home .
Cyril Neville is exuding with New Orleans culture and history. When I'm back in New Orleans , I'm going to have lunch with this New Orleans historian. I'm planning to post footage of his concert which took place two months after hurricane Katrina.
God bless America, New Orleans, Austin, Curtis Mayfield, Henry Butler, George Porter Jr, Leo Nocentelli, Raymond Weber, Ivan Neville and freedom loving people everywhere! You have always been a passionate voice for the underdog, crying out for justice, and your version of this great song gives me goosebumps!!!
cryil you are beyond the beyond, thank you so much for your heart and soul, spirit and wisdom that you bring to everything you do. love is a verb and baby you got it!!!!! thanks for coming to portland.
As a woman, I've been thinking about who I want in the White House, and where there should never be WAR. BluzonTroost, I gotta give you some thought, here. Hilary is too smart to believe she "didn't know" about Iraq. -dovetrees
Senator Obama: Here's your 2008 Campaign Theme Song --Cyril Neville is The FIRE This Time! This video needs to be seen by all of "We The People." Everybody tell somebody about it -- send the link. Send it to "Social Studies" class at your child's school, to your representatives and to anyone who'd love to hear a great song performed by a Warrior of The First Degree!

I came back from Vietnam as a 22 year old in 1968. When I heard this song, there was a sense of pride in my stride, and I walked taller because I had been drafted and did not
feel that this country was mine. I have felt
it IS mine every day of my life since then.
Let's all of us make it OUR Country.
I'm 62 years young now, and I looking forward
to saying President Obama as of Jan.20, 2009.
Peace,
Grand Poppi

Thank you for your comments. I am sure
your Uncle Solly is smiling, and at peace
in heaven.
I am so proud that my 4, soon to be 5,
Grandchildren, can believe that THEY too
can be President of the United State!
Stay well,
Grand Poppi
