he Came from St. Eds in Lakewood Ohio, Eds has the most state championships in Ohio for all sports, so not really little known school. Alex Boone and Nate Oliver from Ohio State also went there
I, myself is half Black(father) and Latino/Filipino(mother). I played football (WR) in High School and Junior college before going into the service. I played well, in fact I was quick. Also Timmy Chang is now in the CFL.
So the answer to you questions, yes Asians can play football.
Im a Ravens fan and Im happy we got him. Watching this kid play in preseason, I just knew he was a good player. He plays special teams right now for the most part, but he goes hard and makes plays.
oh mang i seen that sonofabitch last monday the first tackle of the game he's playing on special teams tackles that kid reaturning the kickoff and they took ten minutes to scrape his body off of the damn field.
na, cause i remember watchin a game with cincinatti n they said his dad was japanese, n also his name is str8 up japanese as well. he might be mixed with korean as well though idk.
Haruki, I just want to wish you the best of luck as you begin your NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens. I know that you are excited and looking forward to August 7 when you all travel to Foxboro to face the AFC Champion Patriots. Again, congratulations and good luck.
go ruki, great player and he is determined to prove to people that his height doesn't slow him down. Ive heard the height of 5'10" thrown around but im 5'11" and he was at least 2 inches shorter than me when i met him about a month before the papa johns bowl(cats got the shaft). Go cats cant wait for the '08 season got (free)tix to every game as my sister is on the dance team woo hoo.

vault123 ... you know exactly what im talking about. im 6'2 and have even seen 6 ft people and they do NOT hav a stature like HARUKI..his legs are so short...its like watching the movie RUDY all over again..its absolutely sad and pathetic watching midgets play a position they hav no business playing...im not saying he doesnt hav heart, because im pretty sure the guy has a napolean complex...but i guess if he was a running back, i guess it would be a little different.
look atBob Sanders 5'8" can come up and tackle the running back in the backfeild and throw big hits force fumble and cover wideouts. If ur a WR are u going to be scared of a safety who is almost your height or one who can knock the shit out of you.Height is too overrated for DBs and the shorters one's are the best tacklers...Sanders,Winfield,Reed,Polamalu,Sheppard,Samuel.list can keep going on..NOTE:6ft or under..all im just sayin is give him his Respect and not diminish what he have accomplished
wtf are u saying most dbs are 6ft or shorter he is 5'10" average height for Dbs...and yes he could probably built a robot to play his position...two more things that you cant do play NCCA and NFL football and built a robot...give him his prop and stop hatin cuz he's half asian you incest redneck
why do you even speak, or attempt to speak rather, and your attempt is pathetic at best, back to your bench, back to your corner, back to your finger paints.
Where are they gonna put him??? Ed Reed is still young so he aint gonna switch in and out wit Ed Reed...They also drafted another FS from ND...Yamon Figurs is probably the fastest guy on their team and he has KR and PR down unles he gonna give Nakamura the PR.
Or are they gonna fit Nakamura as a NickelBack...or fit him for a CB. What do my fellow ravens think?? CUz waitin for Ed Reed to get old and injured is like waitin for Ray Lewis to retire lol Not gonna happen for a LONG while lol
Ed Reed will be turning 30 this year. That's starting get on the back end of his career. A few years down the road, they may have to consider handing off the reins to someone else.
And a quality backup is always a need. We saw what happened last year, with injuries plaguing the secondary. With a sixth rounder, you're just kind of sifting through, hoping to find a gem.
Zbikowski, the kid from ND, is a strong safety. Dawan Landry is 25 - they still used a 3rd rounder to back up the position.
He is turnin 30 this year? Well the only ppl that really got injured was the CB's. Cuz i remember it was Ed Reed, Sapp and Ivy in the secondary. Reed didnt have good support and got fucked up against the steelerz. BUt i see what ur sayin. Haruki has alottta Reed'z attributes. SO i see what ur sayin..Do u think Zbikowski is gonna start over Landry? Cuz i figured they put the heavy hitter from ND from FS to SS jus cuz he plays the run so well. And Do u think Yamon Figurs will play more this year?
H probably won't start but I think Nakamura is going to make his mark on the special teams coverage units. His hard-nosed, hard-hitting style is perfect. He would also be a quality back-up to Ed Reed.
This may finally wake more asians up to play American Football. I hope he starts and becomes a role model for more people to play football. Cause then he would have done what I have dreamed of doing. He's also going to be the first Japanese starter in the NFL. Hopefully... I'm hoping for him to become a hall of fame but hey that's too soon to decide. I really like his mentality.
i was looking at the proday workouts and i saw this guys name. i was like haruki nakamura wtf? this guy japanese? i have never heard of asians playing football
