Barnes seems like he gets really upset when he does bad and he often does bad on t..v he seems like he is kind of a flake i don't like chris barnes

@ridna660r it wasnt as strong because hes using "soft hand" to play that straight. if he put his normal rotation on it, the ball wouldnt hold pocket.

It's not that tj sucks at playing straight. It was that he and the ball he was using didn't match up very well for the straighter line. Also don't forget he was coming off an injury and stuff. Also that season

I think that Tommy Jones is such an adaptive bowler. Most of his vids show him cranking the hell out of the ball with a mega rev rate, but this one he flattened out a ton....I've never seen him do that. Chris Barnes on the other had just has a classic bowling style. Nothing fancy.....

Don't get me wrong, he's a very good bowler, but he's not a good stroker. It's kind of like saying Walter Ray is not very good at hooking the ball, but that certainly doesn't mean I think he's a bad bowler.

Thats true, but he rarely ventures left of 15 in more recent events. When he does, he is generally uncomfortable, not that it makes any difference for him. I'm not bashing any of these guys, I only made observations as I saw them. I just chose my words poorly.

not sure about this but, I'd say he was playing a higher hook before, because he was playing on wood lanes, which creates more friction, and so more hook, or easier hook, maybe, just maybe, it needs a bit more ''work'' now to hook it, so he feels uncomfortable, and .. anyway..

why would he go there, when he's one of the most precise bowler out there? :-)

if the pattern is shark, how come these guys have a breakpoint near 8? at any pattern over 40 feet I usually move in to 12ish. On shark I usually play straght up the third arrow

You also have to factor it in that it is "Sunday". Meaning, all the bright lights dry out the lanes and mess the lanes up a little bit more than usual.

This was on the shark pattern. Barnes saw how well Walter Ray played from the outside during the week and decided to try it for himself. It's also about the only pattern you'd see him throwing a Columbia Resurgence straight up the outside. Notice how he starts the ball right to left off his hand.

Gravity Shift is an amazing sphere. Only thing is new pearl is very vague. You want backend, length, both, neither? Asymmetric symmetric. There's a ton of different ways to go.
