  • @ernieballstaylor Thank you!

  • Nice melodies, you remind me of Jeff Beck at tad ;O) wich is always good.

  • Hey Now..sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the compliments...

    Jeff Beck??? THANK YOU!!!

  • Great tone and playing! I'm looking hard at the 50 watt version...I think you pushed me over the edge!

  • Thanks a lot!

I'm sure you'll dig it. Congrats.

Tell Alan about the vid... ;-)

  • What are your gain setting?

Is there more gain on tap?

    Thanks man!

  • About half on the gain stage...and yeah, you've got more gain if needed.

    No Problemo!

  • Was this stocked with EL34s or 6L6s?

  • EL34

  • Hi Andy! Was this the 100 watter?

  • Sorry for the late reply!

    100 watts of love.

  • great sound, like mastered track.

  • Sorry for the late reply..I'm an idiot!

Thanks a lot for the listen and compliment.! Mastered is good.

  • I can't imagine Alan making poor quality amps...he's a good guy.

Amp sounds good for a You Tube clip

the video effects kill me though

  • Alan's a great guy...but he'll kick you in the balls if you cross him.

    Don't fu*k with him.

    Thanks for the listen....and view

  • HI ..FRIEND

i bought the Carol Ann Tucana and as i expected im amazed its as you said an amazing amp thanks a lot for the advice..you were very right about it ...!

  • ...forgot to say that i like the fuchs for the creamy destortion ..which is good for rock and hard rock that i mostly play ..

    Thanks for your reply

  • hi again ...

sorry for my late reply ..im prety impresed by the sound of the carol ann and im thinking about the tucana for the extra drive..,but also of the fuchs ods 50 or 100..have you tried the fuchs? if you have which would you suggest..

  • i had asked you if you think the carol ann amps are the best you ve played with ...i know it s hard to say among so many ...but im interested in buying one and your opinion is much appreciated ...cos you are an amazing guitarist ..total respect.!

  • Thanks a bunch!

It's a VERY versitle amp. You can Rock with it, as well as other styles.

What style of music do you play?

  • hi ..how would you compare CA with Soldano Slo 100 ..?

  • I've never played an SLO for an extended peroid of time so I can't say. I do love the CA tone though. Very Musical!

  • Where is the drive & presence controls positioned in this clip? Are you using a delay in the effects loop? Sounds great......I want one!

  • Hey There!

First per amp gain and presenceis set about 60% . The second gain is set at 100%.

I recorded this dry. Verb and delay were added at mixdown.

    It's a killer amp!

    Thanks for listening.

  • Thanks for the reply! Oh, and what about the cabs you're playing through; which speakers?

  • It's an Avatar open back (Oval Port) with celestion 80 watt speakers.

  • One more Q: which gain structure is your amp? Mild, Medium or Hot? Thanks.

  • I believe its a standard gain. Works perfectly. If I would want more grease, I would turn down the amp gain, and put a Fulldrive 2 in front of it...then look out! And that is unique, because 99% of the amps I've played don't like pedals in front of the gain channel.

  • I'm about to order one. But, in all honesty, from your experience, do you have any qualms with this amp? Thanks! Nice tone and playing by the way.

  • Thanks for the compliments!

No qualms at all. They really rock.

    I can't reccomend them enough!

  • yea i can tell haha that thing blows my jcm-800 out of the water. where can i order one? and are those blackouts in your les paul custom?

  • Hey Now! Don't be so hard on yourself! A JCM 800 is a great ROCK machine...but the CA does have more in the touch sensitivity department. A little more articulate as well. I would be killer to use both. It would work great with the dropped d grinding stuff on your page...which sounds great btw!

I also like your acoustic piece as well! Very cool! You BETTER be doing gigs with talent like that. You rock.

BTW BTW- Bill L. PU's in the LP

  • hey how much would that head run me?

  • Beetween 3-3.5 K.

    And worth every penny...

    Thanks for listening!-Andy

  • great playing. sounds so good, if you can could you post some clean chanal and somthing high gain for us who would like too see what the carol ann amp can do

    cheers

    john
