  • At the moment I am thinking of getting the 60D or 7D. For now I want to focus on lenses for now

I want to get into the wedding photography field. My style of photography will be documentary/reportage.

Because (at the start for now anyway) I will only have one body can anyone recommend to me ‘one’ lens for the style that I want. Also, if I were to change lenses, one or two more lenses you can suggest.

  • Hi,

I am on a tight budget. What do you think should I buy? A 70-200mm f4L IS or an f2.8L without IS. I will be using the lens for my kids tennis games, church activities and wildlife...

I will really appreciate your help.

    Rene

  • @dokgold i would say the f4 IS.. the IS is a lot of help in the long run...

  • @dokgold same problem with me... if you are doing sport shots in the gym(like me) take the 2,8 without IS! you wont need the IS for sport shots, because your shuttertime will be about 1/200... you wont see the shake of your hand(to short time!)... but if you are doing wildlive shots at 200mm you will have to use a stativ with your lens;) then the 4 IS would be your choise!
