@austinaslink Had to get rid of it. It was taking away alot of family time, especially after my 2nd child (daughter) was born. It was worth it but I still miss it like I said. I parted it out and had it crushed at the junkyard. Didn't want anyone buying it and trashing the hell out of it.
@tubejoe69 I was wondering, Is a 2.5rs stock fast? Im looking into buying one but I dont know yet. Its rather a stock 02 WRX or a 00' RS. I know the WRX is a little more expensive but Is the RS any fast? thanks!
@element509 A stock RS is 125whp, not fast by today's standards of "fast". You're better off going with a WRX if you have never messed with adding a turbo car to an NA engine.
Like the first one I saw, this vid makes me sad. I'm proud to say that a part of it lives on in my Suby. I know how good it feels to build a car on your own and to be happy with the end results. I've been there before with my 74 Corolla SR5. I can only hope to achieve what you have done with this project. It will take me some time to get where I want to go with mine but, eventually, I will get there. You are a true inspiration Joe!!!
@smjavar I sooo wouldn't mind doing it again. But you know how that goes. I've been looking at little flaws in the project that could've been improved. Until next time though....
Sup Joe! It was really emotional for me to watch this but as I remembered your past videos, it gave me memories of how you used to rip da buggah all over Hawaii roads and realize that you pushed it to the limit. I really enjoyed this tribute. My most LMAO memory was when you went under the bridge full of water and you were shitting because of your intake, hahaHA! Brah, you are really talented and have been an inspire to me, i-club, Subaru owners, and other Aspen White Alliance; GO GOVS!!!!!
@pimpsawse This build was faster then most WRX's I've ridden in. I was surprised what power this little motor could push out. I expected no more than 250hp at the engine but went as far as 330hp at 23psi with the VF34, on two wheels!! But yeah, so many memories in such a short time. i have 4.75 GB of pictures and videos of this car so I will never forget what a monster of a little motor I created...
@xrsrule The silver 2001 RS in the end of the vid. Doing nothing to it at the moment. However, I feel like building an EJ22E-T project. Won't be as extensive as this but just enough to get past my slow 165hp RS.
@xrsrule Lol, that would be considered a motor swap, which was against the point of the build. Yes it's more grunt, but my point of the build is to see what the EJ18E block was capable of when force induced.
@xrsrule The RS will be untouched as it's my daily driver. I wanted to grab another cheap L, and throw my spare EJ22E in it with a TD04 and fill my void for boost, lol.
you did a great job, you must be very proud.
i know i would be.
from a granny car to a pimped out ride !
what happened to Project EJ18 ? why R.I.P ?

@kyleyap It's a 97-01 Impreza dash pod. I hacked my dash for it to fit. I should've used a 02-07 WRX dash cowl, as it's not as long.

@tubejoe69 how come you dont get a ej20 short block and put the dohc heads on it then turbo it? its alot more grunt?
