nice work , i like the cc01 chassis, not to sure on the hilift chassis look like to straight bits of c channel
bolted together not my cup of tea! , but my old tamiya bruiser chassis is very scale looking , they pop up every now and then on ebay , mainly out of japan ,.rc4wd leaf springs and hangers shackles bolt straight on ,and the yota scale billet or cast diffs ,
the one thing i love about tamiya is that they create the most beautiful-scale rc cars the ine thing i hate is that they load them with junk and to much plastic
why not get a rc4wd trailfinder and buy just a tamiya ford bronco-land cruiser or other tamiya body ? anyway nice video!
... Tamiya was one of the first manufacturer of rc cars, when I was a child I play with these, so is a nice remember for me (thats why I am a great tamiya fan)
... Also Tamiya have more realistic scale chassis, I think the high lift chassis is very nice, I think about to buy one...
Do think the rear link change makes much difference? Did you drive it much with the stock rear links? I have a "G Made" link kit for mine but I haven't installed it yet.
@Matteomeier OK, thanks. I wanted to use mine for a while before I swapped the links so I would know if it made an improvement. I think I'll put them on soon.
Great job on showing the upgrades. The more I see your CC-01 the more I want one - I just love the bronco body and that the reason to build one :-)
Shame for you you had to mod the mounts. Looking forward to the running video - let us know your feeling on the mods. I realise it won't be an SCX10 but still better than stock.
Yes, the mod of the mounts is not very sexy, but I found not an other way! My last vid "Indian Summer" was made with this mods. Your right, is not a SCX10, but it must not be an SCX10. The best improvement of this mods is the steering, because the stock cc-01 steering is really not very good. With the new steering links, the turning circle is much better!
@Matteomeier I'll have a look at the videos again now I know they have different set-ups. It does seam to be the down side of the CC-01 the steering. Maybe I should build one for Class 1 comps - I'm sure you can hear me talking myself into it :-) Good work as always, thanks.
great mods, what size shocks are those?

can you lock the front diff. on these?

@fatgirlfister
Yes, I did it, but you have to open the gearbox and add some parts. (G-Parts from the kit)

In one way you're right, but otherwise...
... Tamiya chassis is very functional and stable
... Tamiya was one of the first manufacturer of rc cars, when I was a child I play with these, so is a nice remember for me (thats why I am a great tamiya fan)
... Also Tamiya have more realistic scale chassis, I think the high lift chassis is very nice, I think about to buy one...

yes you are right tamiya is a great rc manufacturer and a great name in rc

That's another good way, but I cannot mount the body more down because my Bronco body have interior details wich are go deep in to the chassis.
My last Video "Indian Summer" was done with this mods.
