  • Its a shame that Tua isn't working hard right now, he'd give Wlad problems if he wanted to, but ultimately i think both brothers would outbox him over 12 rounds.

  • bolos are a reference to balls.

  • bolo punch is made by filpinos (don't know shit bout boxing) ye ye

  • swinging punches....was it for the fans..This guys an idiot. swinging but knockout power...Tua was careful....sized him up then took him out.... Smart n always in control.....R

  • sole....dnt to get close 2 the woods where you cant see the trees

  • guys david tua won in 2 rounds beleive it

  • People may not know this but Bolo means testicles in Samoan.

So... Tua being a Samoan interviewed Bolo Punch is pretty funny. Low blow! Low Blow!

  • Before i don't like Tua, but later on i have known him more deeper via some interview that he's a real man, a humble man and a strong man. He deserve to be a champion of the world in heavyweight division. God luck Tua man.

  • I think he deserves it as well. His left hook is one of the best in history and he has a heart like a lion.

    O for O-Some. :o)

  • Tua's a nice guy, quiet, well spoken, humble. One of the hardest left hooks of all time.

Can't believe he never became champ. I remember watching him coming up in the 90's thinking he was gonna be the next Tyson. Strange how things turn out. I think he was just too short to beat Lewis. But when you consider the state of the division now, maybe it's not too late for Tua.

  • its partly because he had trouble finding people that would fight him because they were too scared..

he asked mike tyson cant remember when but tyson turned him down..

  • i was watching sky box office yesterday and reason why people dont want to fight tua coz hes to risky and yep people do turn him down ...

  • @TSBNT

I don't think he's very risky anymore, his performance against Barrett wasn't so good, Barrett hasn't looked good in a while either.

  • @GilbertSyndrome

He had an injured shoulder weeks before the fight which required surgery. Furthermore, he is flat broke - he couldn't even afford a professional training camp. His training team has changed around so we'll see what's what next fight.

  • man is tua still boxing?

  • Tua is fighting Shane Cameron in August in Newzeland

  • its october isnt it?

  • of course he would be next champion:)

  • David maybe the hardest puncher in the last three decades.

  • @kuluku

    Thats a big statement....

  • @GilbertSyndrome Yes, there were other hard punchers between 1980s and 2010s, but David Tua is a true King of knock out.

  • Why are always these interviewers licking these boxers asses ? Like their face expressions and all .. omg

  • Tua looks to be in the best shape I've seen him in years. I hope he wins a title before he retires!

  • Tua has the power, no question, but I'm not sure his current promoter can get him a title shot. He may have to appeal to Don King for that to happen. Tua's comeback has lasted two years so far and still no title shot in sight under Kushner. Just more tomato can opponents.

  • i hope he doesn't have to go to don king. i hate when boxers i respect sell out. the fans need to speak out and speak up. the fans gotta demand a title match. tua has my support. if he get's the shot, i'm sure he'll win

  • I'd never heard Tua interviewed. Very contained, thoughtful and articulate. Sounds like a great guy. Can't say I liked the interviewer.

  • Tua needs to spend more time in the gym and less time at the buffet.

  • He can very easy eat you up, say it to his face...

  • Of course, but then, he should be able to since he is a professional boxer. The fact is, ever since he left Main Events he has allowed his weight to balloon to the point where it is hindering his ability in the ring. It culminated in the Lennox Lewis debacle.

  • You got a very good point

  • He wasnt fat in that fight, his management made him put on muscle to make up for his height disadvantage which I thought was a bad move.

  • I don't think that was the reason for his weight gain. A good read is "Terminated," the story of the Tua/Barry split. That gives a good insight into the Lewis fight. Of course, you don't need to be ripped like 80s Tyson to be a champion. Michael Moorer didn't have abs and did pretty good. Tua was at his best fighting weight when he fought Ike Ibeabucchi in my opinion.

  • If you equate ripped muscles and abs to fighting ability and punching power, your ignorant. Check Mark Hunt vs Jerome LeBanner.

  • butterbean is proof that you don't have to be 'the hulk' to punch the lights out of people, only look like 'the thing' :)

  • true..but he mean ! at knock outs!

  • Tua's getting s little flabby looking!

  • good fighter super knockout ability and a nice guy!!!!

  • tuaaaaaaaa!

  • me too!!
