Most newscasters keep comparing Ida's Northeaster to Hurricane Isabel which was not a hurricane when it hit Virginia. Isabel brought lots of damage and flooding. Ida's Northeaster has also brought damage and flooding. Isabel was in 2003. Before 2003, there have been hurricanes named: Floyd, Bonnie, Gloria, Donna, and Hazel. There were others, I can't remember them all, but apparently our weather people only have to go back 5years these days. With all this nasty standing water, will H1N1 spike?

i live in salem va, and the only way to get out of skewl here is if a nuke goes off, for real. salem is so uptight about our education. we have one of the best school systems in va, and today we got out cuz half of our bridges were flooded lol. it takes ALOT to get salem to do that.

Most peculiar, but predictable in the least.

I find it unusual that the meteorologists are failing to report that this will happen. They're very vague on their predictions (probably afraid of getting laid off).

Also, there is a distinct reason for these weather pattern changes. Why the fronts move and where they will move.
