  • Not what i was looking for -.- 720x1080 is very bad if using sony vegas, it losses much of its video quality! I whant good video quality so best option would be 1920x1080 but it dosent fit,,,

  • For the song, you achieve an instant like.

  • i checked the little box bellow 16:9 on my Ulead Software, how do i return it back to normal?

  • i uploaded a video that was 720x480, (see my Sudden Impact Video) but there are little black bars on the side

  • Great idea to put this video up !!!

But, next time when you're uploadng an instructional video, make sure to prioritize the INFO and not your FX BS. I learned nothing from this video until I paused and reversed the video several times.

ADVICE: In an instructional video, try to be clear and pedagogical, DON'T try to show off your fancy FX skills, you'll just piss people off.

    Regards,

  • how are you suppose to read it when it is moving around like that..

  • Do u have to download those thingys?

  • FUCK U TYPE FAST! :O

  • @grisapa1 i believe thats called sped up :P

  • @OwnaejNinja nah, hes epic....

  • Very helpful, but I'd suggest exactly what you said in your info and put annotations in the vid. The text dancing around the screen made it hard to see what you were doing in the background. Thanks though!

  • hey mind helping me? so on windows movie maker i made a video and i put it as exactly wut u did in ur video. but when i post it onto youtube its like back into a square again!? i wanted it to fit the whole screen =(

  • Hm... what version are you using? Because if I remember correctly, WMM 2 automatically makes the video fit the screen but WMM 6 doesn't. I'm pretty sure there's an effect you can download for that, though.

  • well i went to wmm and clicked the "help" tab and found out its version 5.1? =/

  • Then I dunno. =/

I'm pretty sure you'd be able to download WMM 2.6, though. Maybe using that would work.

  • i made a music video with alot of effects in it and stuff but the file is too large for youtube how do i make it smaller i am using sony vegas 7 fyi

  • Wait... as in file size?

Better to render it as WMV than AVI.

  • FPS means frames per second. It has something to do with the speed of the frames from one going to another.

  • On y Sony vegas, it dos not have that many things, like the HDV Thingg

  • I LIKE YOUR DESKTOP BACKGROUND :D

  • Thanks ^_^

Believe it or not, I made that. It's even up on my DeviantArt account :] -nods-

  • ha now ima go steal it and use it for mine!

  • Hahah, okay then~

  • umm...

this may be out the topic but....

do u know how to cut a long video?

    Does it use WMM?

  • What do you mean? As in split the video clip into parts, or cropping the video to a certain size?

  • no...

    i mean like for example...

a video with longer than an hour...

can we split it into 10 minit each?

  • Yes, it's possible. In that place where clips are stored [I don't remember if there's a specific name for it], click the video, drag the green&white slider thingie on the video playback whatsitcalled. When it's at the length you wanna cut it at, click the split button [it looks like a film being divided in half] & afterwards, if you want them as actual clips on your computer not just in WMM, put each individual clip on the timeline [one clip at a time] & save the movie files one by one.

  • thanks man...

    that's help very much

  • What if I have a Youtube video and I only want to extract its audio?

Example: Let's say I like the music in your clip and I only want to extract this music into one of my videos.

Can we do that on Movie Maker?

  • Hm...I've never even heard of using Movie Maker to download content from YouTube to begin with. Your best bet is to find an online media converter; try mediaconverter[dot]org, then copy & paste the URL of the video you wanna extract audio from, then choose to convert it to mp3. Finally, download the converted file & you can easily import it in Movie Maker for your video.

  • LOLS that really helped x]

  • Good to know :]

  • gay music but ty anyway

  • OMG!

    *Bows down for you*

Thank you so much. This helped, ALOT. I thought nobody was gonna tell me how it worked xD Thanks again! =] 5/5

  • You're very welcome.I'm glad I could help 8D

  • HD doesn't work on my mini laptop, would you know how to make it fit just the new screens? Without hd? Just high quality so it fits the entire new screen.

  • Well,on WMM&Ulead it might work the same as in this tutorial.

As for Sony Vegas, try changing the measurements of the video to something similar, like normal HD would be 1280 by 720 pixels;; an alternative would be to change it to 640 by 360 pixels so it'd likely still fit the widescreen but I don't think it'd be HD.

  • Awesome! Thank you sooo much ^-^

  • No problem ^^

  • actually on vegas if the AR is to fit the widescreen and be in HQ it should be 900x480 so it would look better if you used 640x360 it might not come out so great

  • you dont have to use windows media player to make it 16:9 just disable "maintain aspect ratio" on sony vegas

  • Huh?I never said you needed to use Windows Media Player at all.I was just demonstrating how to get 16:9 in 3 different movie makers.

  • Now, is there a way to do this without removing my video from youtube? Because I don't want to remove it.

  • Not that I know of.I just know how to get the videos to fit the widescreen resolution BEFORE uploading to YouTube. If I do find a way though,I'll let you know.

  • how do u make your videos watch in hd? thats what i need

  • Generally,YouTube will detect whether the video can be viewed in HD.

If the video is saved to your computer with a 16:9 aspect ratio,it should be able to be viewed in HD on YouTube. If not, then I'm not fully sure.

  • Comment removed

  • It doesn't? O.o

What version of Windows Movie Maker do you use?

  • thanks!

  • You're welcome ^^

  • This is off-topic, but is there a way to get your video on HD with WMM?

  • What do you mean?Ehm...all I know is set the aspect ratio to 16:9

  • I mean how do you make an HD video?

  • As in how do you get the "watch in HD" option on YouTube or what?

  • Yes, how did you get the "watch in HD"

  • Well, you just render the video and upload it,based on how the video was made,YouTube should be able to detect if it can be viewed in HD.

  • FPS..

    Frames Per Second

The higher the number.. the smoother the video runs, lower the number, the more the video is jumpy and messed up.

  • Ahhh I had it at PAL not NTSC. Cheers.

  • Hm...to be quite honest I have no idea whatsoever what those particular settings do...

  • YAY! Thank you! It worked! :D

  • wow that was easy

  • your a miracle , thank you!

  • You're very welcome 8D

  • camera-shy xD

    lmao

  • Yep,lolz.

    Ulead generally does take a long time to open on my computer though,I even had to edit out part from that section because of how long it was taking xD;

  • :DDDDDDDDD

hey do u know how can i upload a 13 minute video since yooutube will only accept 10 minutes?

  • There's no way I know of,except to split the video into a couple parts =/

  • but the file cant be imported to windows movie maker

    thanks anyways

    :p

  • You're welcome ^^

What format is the file anyways?

  • its a file i got from internet

im too stupid to convert it :(

  • Try mediaconverter[dot]org

It worked for me back when I was getting my clips and songs for videos straight from YouTube.

  • yeah i do that can ur computer get messeed up like dat

but i just want its there any program/website so i can just have the audio

  • No,it won't harm your computer.

And yes, there is a way to get just audio.

  • it worked thanks

hey how can i just get audio i hope im not bothering with so many wustiond

  • Same website,mediaconverter[dot]org
