Thanks for this. She lives near me, and I know her differently than her musical career. This expands my knowledge of her. She is magical any way you experience her.
@BrianPhase90 I live in Joshua Tree, CA. Many musical artists live here. In fact, this place is chock full of talented people in all the arts. The Joshua Tree Roots Festival celebrates many of them. Have you heard of Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown? I have heard her sing there. She is still beautiful, and a delight to listen to.
Love these artists. Know Victoria was very ill with ....MS?. Bummer disease for anyone, especially a musician. Hope she is well, but if she is gone, I know it's to a better place. Laura
It's a Steinberger Guitar. These are "headless" guitars with tuners at the bottom of the guitar. I'm not sure of the model name of this particular axe. it's no longer in production. Steinberger was bought out & the official models are hard to find these days. Lou played several Steinberger models in the 80s & 90s. Now he seems to be more into Telecasters & a custom guitar I have yet to identify. He plays through Soldano amps which has a lot to do with that wonderful lead tone he gets.
@SnapeGirlUSA It really was the best in the first few years. When it was all eclectic and random and the music was about THE MUSIC. Tell your husband thanks, we really miss 120 Minutes.
Chillbumps to see this! She and Reed seem natural together.
I have only very recently become turned on to Vic. Finding her music has led me to all sorts of other musical discoveries. Already now I can't imagine music without her. Wonderful. Life is good. :-)
Thanks so much for taking the time to get this up on You Tube.
The early 90's was the best time for music.
Lou Reed in a green suit playing Crazy Mary with Victoria. That's awesome!
