I've always loved CT, but i must admit this Faye's version got my heart since the 1st time i heard it!! ;-)

  • it makes me cry every time

  • unforgettably beautiful. i hv to revisite this song from time to time.

and btw, this was a No. 1 song in Hong Kong back then. can you believe a cocteau twins' song can be so popular?

  • Wow! Very nice. I love Cocteau Twins and like this girl's version. :D

  • FAYE WONG AND COCTEAU TWINS IS sO GOOD T_T

  • Bloody nice stuff.

  • super

  • Lovely version!

  • This is exquisite, one of my fave Cocteau Twins songs and Faye sings so beautifully.

  • I think it's cool that an Asian singer is even doing a Cocteau Twins cover! And she did it beautifully!

  • Her voice and singing really are nothing compared to Liz's (in my opinion, anyway). But she really does have such a pretty and clear voice with a dreamlike quality to it ^_^

  • If a medieval monk were shown this video and told that this was an angel singing a heavenly song, he'd believe it.

  • very,very good!

  • very good!

  • Ooh I like this, didn't think that it would translate so well into canto

  • Right now, this is my favourite song ever.

  • Marvellous. I had not heard of Faye Wong and was amazed to find this version of a Cocteau Twins song. She has both an excellent voice, and excellent taste in music !

  • anita mui is the pop queen?lol. even if it's true, she's only the queen of a little city. but faye wong, the only female artist who's the queen of the entire chinese world after teresa teng. by the way, faye wong the fashion icon will be on the cover of elle's september issue, again! and how many covers was the so-called pop queen anita mui on? none? haha! faye wong is not just a singer, but also a songwritter and a cultural symbol.

  • Thank you for making such wonderful music.

  • My goodness - this is surreal and great.

  • This was the first song I heard from Faye, unforgetable memories

  • I love the way she almost whispers some words; impossible to move on, I miss this songs...

  • Luv this, the original is one of my favourite songs, this really works

  • Faye is awesome. Great singer and Four Calendar Cafe is one of my favorite albums. I'm glad she decided to cover some songs off that record.

  • Not only is the cover so similar, she even has the dreamy atmospheric music video down

  • Faye forever...Asia's pop Queen..........

  • Anita Mui's the pop queen ... sorry.

  • you can't compare orange to apple

  • @winterw00d nor would i.

  • Holy fuck this is amazing.

  • This cover is *very* close to the orginal...her voice sounds strikingly similar, even in a completely different language. Pretty good...but a little too close to the original...

  • Amazing work!!!

It is a great great cover!!!

Beautiful voice of a pretty woman for an outstanding song!!!

    My respects.

  • Sweet pea... sleeted under the rain pool, a gem!

  • You should thank Faye Wong instead ! No one in Asia will know who is CT if it wasn't Faye who introduced CT's music to Asia.

  • @winterw00d

    So true!

  • @gatomontes its good, whats your gripe?

  • @zindi1138 i didn't say it's bad! she sings amazingly... but I prefer Cocteau Twin's original version... I don't like unoriginal singers who make too many covers (in this case it's not a cover, it's the same thing in another language!)... it's only my opinion... if you like her, good for you... :)

  • @gatomontes Faye Wong is unoriginal? lmao. YouTube apes, the saga continues.

  • she sings like an angel

  • Amzing vocalist!

  • Great tune

  • One of the few voices that compare to Liz's

  • argh! I love this song! especially in mandarin!

  • no, she's singing in cantonese... although she sings in both mandarin and cantonese

  • She's a woman that needs to come out of "retirement" & get her narrow behind back in the recording studio. LOL

  • The chords and music progression is exactly like the original. Yet there is something hauntingly beautiful when sung in Mandarin that conveys the same feeling as the original recording...Than you for posting it.

  • faye is THE asian diva. she's a huge fan of cocteau twins and cocteau twins has composed a few original songs FOR her

  • This version feels more like a love song, maybe that's why some prefer it to the original?

  • Yeah you're right!

  • I have the same dilemma...I thin this version is more pure...very strange thing to say..I love the cocteau twins so much

  • i think i like this version better than the cocteau one but maybe thats just because i heard this one first

  • she is a very famous asian singer.

just type "All About Ah Faye" in your search engine, the website will tell u more about her. thanks
