  • I sold this car!

  • Good job but it wouldve been easier and better if you took of the board nd then brush the excesa foam off

  • thx for the video. but wasup whit the gay music

  • get a brush to scrape all the foam off the headline, or else it won't stick very well and be smooth

  • What was this guy thinking?! Take the headliner out of the vehicle. That's how you do it!

  • any fabric store has actual headliner with the foam and everything. buy it in a roll to match how much you need and actually take the headliner out....dont fight gravity idiots. i just took my headliner out of my firebird in 10 minutes on a 90 degree day. Be patient and it should work pretty well

  • thank you! you have given me the confidence to give it a try!

  • I want my subie to have plaid!!

  • Thank u soooooo much 4 this video, I will try this this week, u just saved me a lot of money!

  • i think they call that a nig rig

  • Hi, DO I have to scrape out all the dry yellow stuff first before doin gthis?

  • you hav 2 take it out and get the old padding off of it or it wont stay on it ,and plus just get headliner cloth its just about cheap as cloth ,go it wright the first time,

  • Im def gunna do this now man thanks for the vid

  • god i hate this song

  • Hey, thanks for this. I'm gonna have my friend try it next weekend.

  • what was teh video YOU watched to complete this?

  • rgimes2007 dude then u did it wrong just take the headliner scrap off all the old foam left over to wear its all gone spray some on it and u gatta spray half of it then lay it down then spray the other half no professional needed you just gatta be smarter then the headliner there bro

  • will this work even with a leather headliner?

  • Very good information. Thank you. Next time leave the text on screen just a little longer for the parts with a lot of information. And second the music sucks. You shouldn't even listen to music like that its not even music it's just shit sound/ noise. But again thank you for the information.

  • did your head liner shred in the back near the rear glass? that is what mine is doing.. i just tell everyone that wolverine was in my back seat and i pissed him off... lol.

i have a 96 mercury cougar with a 4.6 and a sunroof. we practically have the same car with minor differences.

  • 3m adhesive will not hold, and it is much easier to take the headliner board out. You have to clean all of the old foam off the board for it to hold.

  • That shit ain't gonna last.

  • i've done several headliners....would really like to see yours after two years...there's no way possible it would stick without removing the old foam...not possible!

  • @ PABLORL1989 who the fuck was talkin to u?? y wont u come over here and suck my fuckin cock motherfucker

  • wow good job

  • i did the same thing last week with mine... used the same shitty 3M spray adhesive for headliners... i took mine completely out to fix it.. it looked nice for a day, the next morning it had fell. taking it to a professional in the morning.

  • @rgrimes2007 I guess i was lucky, since it has been up for almost 2 years now!

  • @rgrimes2007 You have to get the 3M Super adhesive for headliners (not the general automotive trim adhesive). it should run about 20 bucks a can.

  • @rgrimes2007 u have to do it in the right temperature, better to let it sit in the sun for a minute or 2 before u apply the material to the adhesive

  • fuk u legal hooker, kiss my balls

  • Great job! Thank you for sharing :)

  • Cool and great video, I will try to do for my 1997

    Toy Corolla.

  • I did this yesterday with my 16 yr old son. The only step I added was I took the old foam backing from the old headliner off!. I figured the new fabric would have a better chance of sticking to the fiberglass board than that brittle foam that was already falling off. the whole process only took us about 1hour and 40 minutes was vacuuming that old foam off. It went a lot eaiser than expect took two yrds of fabric but I bought three. Would consider this to anyone with half a brain.

  • I bought a grey felt type material. it stretched great and make sure you leave plenty of excess. My son was stretching as much as I was and we came up a little short on his side. It covered just didn't tuck under the back part by the back window as well as it did on my side but he's 16!! and was able to do it. If it falls in a couple of weeks like one guy says I'll let you know.

  • oh OMGZ834, Thanks alot this was super easy and you got my son off by back about his headliner falling and saved me ALOT of money, and kickass so by the way.

  • kickass song I meant, half asleep typing this, lol.

  • I have a quarter brain lol. Bubbles showed up when I did it.

  • lmfao u must had followed this video step by step...

  • song sounds like to sewer trucks colliding head on and shit flying all over the world

  • @funsnap is that a good thing or bad? haha

  • its better to take it off the ceiling and work on it. You can have a much better handle. Im going to do this next week. Its affordable! If i mest it up, then i will take it to professionals...no harm in trying right?

  • what a fuckin waste of time...spend the extra buck and get the good stuff and do it the right way and take the headliner out

  • still on my roof, so i would say it's pretty decent.

  • your a f**ckin idiot if u cant figure out whats the ceiling from a roof

  • I took my headliner board out of my 86 Mustang GT. So much easier doing it on the garage floor! Only takes a few extra minutes to remove/replace. Also you can tuck the excess fabric behind & glue it. But you did good for doing it over head! wow

  • Holy fuck what the hell is with the, uh, music?

  • do u strip it down to the board or leave the foam there?

  • left the foam there, just took off the actual fabric or cloth that is on it.

  • OMG- now that you have ruined you headliner go let some one professional do it. What he didnt say was that the headlliner fell 2 wks later... THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT!!!!! not enough glue, too heavy material and you should take out all trim to the edge of the board...WARNING THIS IS NOT GOOD DO NOT FOLLOW THIS CAUSE IT WILL ONLY COST YOU MORE!!!!! Will's Mobile Auto Headliners- doing headliners for 22 yrs.

  • haha very funny, because i put it up with 2 cans of adhesive spray and it has been up for a whole year and 3 months.

    mine is working great.

    =]

  • Please post your method

  • hey man no problem

just trying to save people money.

    when they need it most

    =]

  • Awesome. I didn't think I'd find something on youtube concerning headliner repair. Plus, I was tired when I started watching the vid., but now, after hearing that music, I'm bright-eyed and ready for the world. RA-A-A-A-A-A-WK ON!!!!!!

(Oh, and what type of fabric was it that you used?)

  • the fabric , i got from walmart, they literally have hundreds of different types, so you can get something that matches (or somewhat matches) the interior of your car. I don't know what type, i got something that would look good in the car lol

  • music was unnecessary

  • tath music its to stop u guys no to try to do this or hell will rise inside u car,,LOL

  • so when does dracula pop out? i enjoyed that video

  • Great vid - what kind of fabric did you use for the replacement, where did you buy it?

  • How do you take the old headliner out of the celling of the car to even start??

  • peel it off...

I think its actually easier to pull the whole headliner (backing board included) but whatever works for you.

  • kinda useful video.. thanks for the tips.. but the music was scary :P

  • nice job, but what the h*ll is up with that music
