I dont think my last comment posted, but basically, I was disagreeing with you because they do prefer tank about 1-1.5 gallons large, and when I had a beta, after a month or two in a bowl, he seemed much happier when he was placed in the new tank.. (not that im such a good beta fish mind reader as some people ;D)
