  • Чувственно...

  • Impressive singing. A little weird at times, but genuinely great singing. Less than stellar acting, but eh, it's pretty enough to overlook that.

  • wow!! she was really thin that time!!!!

  • This is really beautiful singing , I really enjoyed it.

    Mah...

  • I love watching Anna grow. She's good, and one day she will be one of the best if she continues advancing at this rate.

  • wonderful, i could listen to her voice all day.

  • anyone got the actual lyrics?

  • @wakalalalalalala i know you asked this a year ago but i can't help think if you meant the russian lyrics, so if you still want them: Plenivshisʹ rozoĭ, solovyeĭ I denʹ i nochʹ poet nad nyeĭ; No roza molcha pesnyam vnemlet, Nevinnyĭ son yee obʺemlet... Na lire tak pevets inoĭ Poet dlya devy molodoĭ; On strastʹyu plamennoĭ sgoraet, A deva milaya ne znaet - Komu poet on? otchego Pechalʹny pesni tak yego?..
  • @Maggielicious21 thank you so much!

  • A nightingale, enchanted by the rose,

Day and night sings near her,

But the rose listens to his songs in silence.

So is among Poets the one, who with his lyre

    Sings for a young maiden,

But the genlte maiden knows not

To whom he sings, and why

    His songs are so sorrowful.

  • It makes my heart sing.

  • fantastico, bravissimi

  • She is not Angela Gheorghia o.k.! They are not twins. Angela's voice is more dramatic particularly when she sings TOSCA'S part. Ms. Anna here looks a bit chunky maybe just maybe she was pregnant here. Her voice still remains the same though! Splendid indeed. But I like Eva Marton, and Angela Gheorghia better. Am glad the baby isn't Rolando's. Those two mustaches over his eyes scare me!

  • lol

  • I nearly fell of my chair with that comment about Rolando. lol

  • like the unfolding of a rose from a beautiful interpretation.

  • She's like a beautiful rose.

  • excellent!

  • very beautiful singing and playng woodys instruments

  • Very, very beautiful and feminine! Splendid warm enchanting voice! Brava Anna!

  • Не фанат Нетребко,но романс очень красивый...

  • author of the poem - Aleksey Koltsov. The subtitle of the poem - an imitation of Pushkin. 1831. Before the birth of Oscar Wilde is 24 years.

  • Please, can someone tell me whose poem it is that rimsky-korsakov used for this song? I already know that it's not pushkin's poem solovei i rosa.

  • Oscar Wilde!

  • Oscar Wilde's The Nightingale and the Rose is a fairy tale, but he didn't write any poem bearing that title. It may be that some Russian poet adapted his fairy tale for a poem, but i can't tell. It seems this motiv rose and nightingale was unusually popular in the second half of the 19th century. Anyway, i still have no clue how to get to know this poems poets name. But thank you for your reply :)

  • My opinion? She's not a leggiero, but she's not a spinto, either. She's more of a "full" lyric. On her Russian CD, there were times her voice sounded uncannily like Mirella Freni...it's THAT kind of voice...a voice that should move out of the leggiero rep and move toward lyric things. Tatiana would be perfect for her. Desdemona would be perfect for her. Much like Freni and Fleming...both of whom did Bel Canto when younger, but were not actually coloraturas.

  • all you haters are only jealous because she is GORGEOUS and FAMOUS and RICH something all you losers will never be. And those who say that she is ugly because she is pregnant, your mothers are ugly to have given birth to such idle, worthless masturbatory douchebags as you are.

Personal opinion about her: gorgeous woman, TINY VOICE. her looks did all the job in making her famous. No need to hate her though, just urge voice teachers to actually start WORKING WITH VOCALLY ENDOWED PEOPLE.

  • You deaf. big voice.

  • I happen to know what I am talking about. If she had a big voice she would be singing Isolde, Turandot and Lady Macbeth. Her voice may be bigger than your speaking or singing voice in case you are not an opera singer but she is soprano leggiero. Therefore, a good spinto soprano would eat her for a snack ;)

  • but she is a spinto...

  • mr.nightmare, are you still there, YT' rat ! Continue bashing her! Shut up at last! She is stunning even being pregnant

  • She's pregnant here. Who the hell wants to look at her fat ugly stomach, not me! What a douchebag to do that.

  • Splendid performance!

  • Pretty voice, pretty woman, pretty boring. She is supposed to HUM the vocalise at the end.

  • Come on buddy! You a prof? LMAO

You are only a little YT freak and all what you can do is blowing the cock of your gay friend!

  • i agree even if she's pretty to look at.

  • Pretty voice but pretty boring sound.

  • 2:26- 2:30 is out of her range.

  • it sounds spooky.

  • Technicaly there's no flaw in there

  • beautiful. I love it when she sings things that are actually within her range. this was beautifully produced

  • For all Netrebkos self-appointed critics - here you go Netrebkos voice is evenly produced, effortless, sharp and clear and is matched with a technique that loves every note precisely and fully in its proper length and dynamic range. Her pianissimos are thrilling, and her rapid passagework almost flawless.

You are not going to hear much better singing than this today. Ms. Netrebko produced a luscious sound that you wanted to bathe in forever. The New York Times Anne Midgette

  • I like this. I've never been a real fan of Anna because I think she sings alot of things that don't suit her voice.

She sure is gorgeous to look at and I'm gay LOL

  • She can sing anything because she's spinto.

  • spinto? she's a lyric soprano, not a spinto soprano.

  • She is dramatic soprano

  • The only thing dramatic here is your opinion! Shut your pie hole!

  • no she's right. she's a spinto.

  • This is flawless except for 1:48-1:49...the crack in her voice totally ruins the flow of the piece. Beautiful otherwise...she is improving.

  • performing while pregnant is actually quite an achievement for women, not only they have to deal with a totally different body, but they also have to pray for hormones not to do much change to their voices. I think she does quite well in here and it's true, she's defenitely improving! :)

  • oh noes!! here I was thinking that one day I will woo her with my charm, wit and maybe even marry her!! LOL. But I agree. She is improving and her best is yet to come.

  • Erwin schott casanova opera singer has you beaten. look him up on youtube. i don't think you can compete with that. i am a dude and he has me strung

  • she is married to him now by the way

  • Ok, thanks!!

  • The baby is listening to all this music. WOW !!

  • For someone who constantly cancels for being "musically unready", she certainly doesn't have a problem singing while pregnant. Dessay did it while pregnant, and that has never affected her performance.

  • She better lose that weight after she pops the baby out. Otherwise, she'll be out of a career.

  • not true

  • @joserico282 I really meant that in jest. I think she's a huge talent.

  • Bravissima,Anna!

  • I love her singing here. Perfect declamation, variety of expression, wonderful colours, flowing and idiomatic phrasing. This is one of the best examples of her artistry, especially in the way she phrases with such admirable care these exotic vocal lines and the words. She's not yet 100% of her potential, but I congratulate her for being a singer that keeps improving after stardom.

  • Brava!

  • fantastic. I love Anna¨s voice.
