  • Is there any way you see Bennett opening day start or does it seem Hester and vet Booker have them locked down? and Where did that Rideau guy come from? he looks kind of like Hass last year. Thanks again for the coverage, very much appreciated.

  • bennett has shown the talent and the play-making ability to start but it will be hard for him to start over the veterans like bradley, davis, booker, and lloyd not to mention the other guys such as hass & rideau.

rideau played at kansas. yeah both rideau and hass looked great in camp and the pre-season last year but neither of them hardly got any playing time.

yw. my pleasure! bear down. ;)

  • yes rex, let's get those fumbled snaps out of the way before the regular season starts

  • hehe totally.

  • I am really pulling for Rex this year. From what I understand Orton and Rex both have looked bad the past few days. ESPN 1000 described it as an inept quarterback competition. Hopefully, at least Rex can turn it around. How has the O-Line been looking?

  • the o-line has been making some nice running holes. today kreutz came back now we just need williams to come back and we can see what we really got.

yeah they have both had their rough spots too. rex has looked good for the most part but the snap problems have made him look worse than he has actually looked imho.

  • hopefully the fumbled snaps will stop once Olin comes back...

  • they did. today's bobbled snap actually came under beekman again and as i reviewed it, it seemed like a high bad snap.

  • Forte needs more of those plays on him like the first one. I read that he has a lot of humility and i think it's great. He won't develop into a good nfl player if he doesnt respect the vets.

  • yup no doubt. well put.

  • Damn your friend has those highlights? Lucky haha i tried looking for the Bears-Raiders game highlight on youtube but nothing to be found. And yea i know your not hating, I just hate how people are talking shit about grossman, i think grossman connects well with our WR corps. Haha and yea i'll give you that one Grossman has to work on those fumble snaps. but hey we will see what really goes down during preseason games.

  • that last catch was amazing

  • yeah no doubt. and rex and hass do that every day at camp now. they have a good thing going on. rex really likes throwing to hass. that's the other great thing about this competition is that all the wideouts are building a repoire with all the qbs which can only help us throughout the year.

  • It is hard to point the finger and anyone right now for fumbled snaps in my opinion...

Rex does have a lot, but there is the argument that all the QBs have fumbled snaps, so it could just be Beekman having a lack of experience with Rex or something strange like that. I mean, I have never taken a snap before but I am sure it is something simple that can be fixed? It has just taken two years to figure out it needs doing.

Can't wait to see Bennet in a game, he has so much potential. Thanks Roy!!!

  • yup they all have had fumbled snaps so it is very hard to pin down no doubt.

i agree i think it can be fixed also which is why i was trying to call it out as something he just has to get fixed whether he helps the center get it right or whatever. that is what pracitce is for after all.

yeah bennett is making it very tough on the coaches. that wideout competition is hotter than these dog days we've been having.

  • roy thanks for the videos again. though i'm supposed to study for my state boards which are thursday AM, here i am looking at the highlights for the seventh time and the commentary as well.

    keep 'em coming.

  • oh oops. make sure you squeeze in some time to study. you do need to take those breaks though no doubt.

good luck on the boards, too. i hope you pass em and if not don't give up.

    good luck!

  • aight we r making good progress only 3 dropped snaps!!!

  • hehe

  • Haha man, no faith come on now. this is just training camp, you are there to train, how care if you make mistakes, well you should care, but not take it so serious. You can start hating once preseason starts and see what really happens. and alot of people want orton to start because he did pretty good after the last three games. well you know what. rex did good too when he came back during the raiders game. probably dont better if he didnt get injured during the redskins game. rexFTW h8 onme now

  • yeah alot of people forget about that raiders game. that was awesome how he came in and then threw that nasty bomb! he got the whole teams hyped, i'll never forget how everyone was celebrating after that. in fact, i'm gonna go watch those highlights right now! hehe. one of my boys who helps me cover the bears was at that game in oakland.

but naw i'm not hating i'm just trying to keep it real in terms of that "if" he doesn't fix that then it might end up costing him his job.

  • 10 bucks says Grossman fumbles a snap on opening night against the Colts.

  • damn i hope not!

  • Lol i remember before they tried hester out for WR they were thinking of making him a RB lol. He probably would've owned at that too.

  • lol yup yup

  • lloyd looks like ass...bennett was on his grind today he looked real good..this is the first vid i seen mark anderson not bad...it was good to see steltz in there..lol @ the dude saying thats the rex i know

  • yeah bennett is gonna make someone the odd man out, both him and hass.

yeah the fans got on rex for sure! it was pretty funny :)

  • Typical, just as I'm gettin confident in Rex he has a practice like this. Just too inconsistent. The coaches need to get to the root of these fumbled snaps, they're killin me. Nice to see Devin making plays though.

  • yeah i know i know. he needs to get that problem straightened out sooner rather than later.

    yeah hes is looking legit.

  • WOO D lookin sharp. cant wait. ONE MORE DAY

  • say hi if you see me! :)

  • o no doubt, im in my stalker mode right now, im tryina see the yard lines on the field so i know where u sit, im probly bringing my cam, gonna try an document my time at camp (not tryin to give you any competition jus so you know) u might have to giv a shout out or sumn

  • for sure for sure.

naw the more vidz the better! that's how i see it! and the more fans' perspectives out there the better too. i'm only one fan after all.

but yeah i always sit in the middle sets of bleachers right next to the VIP bleachers and usually on the top row in the corner so i can lean back.

  • Awesome! Too bad you didn't get footage of the scuffle.

  • i know i know!

  • damn! you miss it.......the fight lol i think rex needs to stick some pine tard on his hand just incase

  • lol

    yeah good point.

yeah it was a small quick scuffle.

  • Great Video as always! Once again Kyle to Hass could of been the play of the day but this time Hass dropped the pass and messed it up. Kinda funny how it flip flopped seeing how Kyle missed him completely yesterday. Anyways looks like Kyle may be closing in on Rex's slight edge threw training camp so far. This is playing out great! Can't wait for the pre-season to begin!

  • yeah totally. i thought the same thing and said as much to some fans around me about the hass bomb.

yeah i think the qb battle is even because of rex's fumbled snaps. he better watch out or that's gonna cost him the starting job.

    yeah i can't wait for pre-season either. august 7th v KC.

  • Damn, bagging on Rex come on now have a little faith, they have their off days during camp sometimes. Look at some of the other video's Kyle wasnt doing so hot either and sometimes its not all the QB's fault i mean Beekman is filling in for Kreutz right now. On the other hand I love what i am seeing in Bennett and what impress said, i think Bradley is looking quit good as well, even though i'm not a whole fan of him i think bradley is quit good. and Hester well its Hester. Nuf said.

  • The fumbled snaps were a problem the past 2 seasons with Olin at center too, with all 3 of our QB's, so I don't think Beekman should shoulder the blame for this.

  • yeah that's what's curious about it. all the qbs and kreutz was the common factor during those. now beekman? i'm not sure what's going on lol. it's a head-scratcher.

  • yeah aside from the fumbled snaps he had some good plays again today.

yeah that wideout battle is tough tough tough.

    true about hester, too! :)

  • Stuff like this happens behind a backup center. Why do you think ALL our QB's have been fumbling snaps??? don't be retarded brandeeziec...

  • hehe yeah i hope that's the case we will see.

yep all of our qbs except for caleb or hill (can't remember which) have fumbled snaps from the center.

  • Mark Bradley does look good, so does Bennett. I'd like to see MB, EB, and Hester being our top 3 by the end of the season. Loyd looks okay too. Booker is no where to be found

  • yeah booker sat out today. he has made plays though no doubt.

pre-season will probably go a long way towards shaking the competition out.

  • Fuckin Rex fumbling snaps consistently...not good. Rex can put on clinic throwing the ball, too bad he is fudamentally retarded.

Roy, To me Mark Bradley looks to be our best receiver by far with his YAC ability along with the way he can consistently separate. What's your take?

  • yeah rex needs to clean that up or it just might cost him his job no doubt.

bradley has looked good but imho hester has been the most impressive and then earl bennett after him which is crazy cause he's only a rookie. that wideout spot is crazy competitive right now. the coaches has some very tough decisions to make at that position no doubt.
