2009 Winter Classic National Anthem at Wrigley Field

SO the NHL is doing some serious research for a Winter Classic game in Southern California in the next few years.

Possible Locations:

RoseBowl ( hase football game on NYD)

Memorial Coloseum (USC Field)

Dodgers Stadium

Home Depot Center (great venue, no history)

Not sure how this could happen in 70 degree weather, but Lucky Luc said so.

I'd love, and although there is a market here in So-Cal, im not sure if the WC should happen here just yet.

No notgonna happen.They did not research.They will primarily keep the games in cold climate areas.Ice would not last a day in Southern California unless hey install more freezers which is a very costly thing to do.Next year it will probably come back to the midwest.I'm thinking primarily, Minnesotta and if not, then Colorado.

Even though the Chicago fans hate us Detroit fans I'm in awe every time I see the national anthem sung in Chicago... That has to be one of the coolest things in sports...

One day I'll make the drive over to Chicago to watch a Wings Hawks game just to be a part of the anthem......

I flew in from Vegas to see this with my sis. It still makes me crazy. Unfortunately The Hawks lost, but you can't beat an anthem in Chicago EVER!!!!!!

I've been a Hawks fan all my life. I finally made the trip to Chicago all the way from London Ontario (where Kane played Junior Hockey) and saw a game at the UC back in November. I'm not American but I was quite taken back by the national anthem. I had not ever seen anything like that. Blackhawk fans are the best.
